Apparently you guys are hitting a need. Oddly enough, we've got a pretty dang solid community of conservative Reformed Christians near Seattle. Like, a church, school, with businesses building culture in a small town. We have about 20 dudes that are into 2A. Families that are having dinner together. Wives baking in the kitchen and husbands building ARs in the garage. Had to brag. And it's better and deeper than I've laid out here.

Saying you don't naturally trust people is easily relatable to me. I've been that way for a very long time now, the unfortunate part is majority of people are overly trusting of anything people say, but when you fully trust someone without any doubt, you get one of two results, a person for life or a lesson for life

When I hear y'all talk about this I immediately thought about Mike Glover with Fieldcraft Survival. He has built a community That has grownover the years and he is getting ready to expand again. When it comes to this list, I think many of us are already on one. I have been working on moving to a new state since I retired and this is one of the scarriest parts of moving. I have a lot of friendships that were built around campfires, at work, and through hobbies. This is something I really need right now.

The essential topic of this video is how do we recreate the America of old. Where residents of local counties/communities all thought remotely similar to one another and didn’t have to worry about their way of life being compromised by a neighboring county/community or even the state or federal government.

I like the comment "get new hobbies" that got brushed over. Its very true. Ive foshed since i was a kid, but 4 years ago i got serious about it. Trophy fishing. I bought a boat, and started off ahore fishing. And let me tell ya, its the best thing i did was getting in the fishing world like i have. Ive.met so many people just from "dock talk", and other boats trolling by and bresking the ice with "ANY LUCK?!". Before you know it your boats are tied together and 1.5hrs have passed because you just formed a relationship with someone in tje middle of the lake and talk like youve known eachothher for years. Put yourself out there. Spark up a conversation. Its hard sometimes. But 9/10 times.. people wanna talk to you too but cant break the ice themselves. Ive had the same experiences in the gun community of which im VERY new to. Just talk.. and asking questions is a very good way of showing people you are ACTUALLY interested and genuine. That goes for any topic. Its easy to make friends and find peole of common interest and genuine..most of the time thry just need someone to fire it up. I know i did for some time!

For me the best thing I ever learned on my own was if you want friends you have to be a friend. Dont do nice things for nice things to happen to you, do nice things cuz you are a nice person. And a major thing know how much you are worth people even friends will try to use you so make sure you are only giving what you are willing to lose.

@gussampson5029
@gussampson5029 11 месяцев назад
@@bodaciousbobby01Make sure you show your daughters lots of love, affection and quality time together. This is important for its own sake but it has practical applications as well. A young woman only knows how she deserves to be treated by comparing it to how her father treats her. So if her father spends lots of time with her and is gentle, loving, caring, etc. she will look for those qualities in a man. More importantly, she will ditch anyone who fails to match her expectations on how to be treated. Likewise, she doesn't feel as compelled to just give herself completely to the first man that ever pays her attention. She knows she has a loving man at home that will protect her and provide for her and help alleviate some of her emotional burden. The #1 most common behavior of shitty men who only want to use a woman is that they want to minimize the amount of non-sexual time they spend together. So if you show your daughters that quality time and attention are the mainstays of a loving relationship, they will hold all men to that standard.

Even though everyone here is likely very into firearms, we all started somewhere. Maybe start by finding someone who is skeptical of certain jabs. Perhaps, start talking to them about other things that may cause them to further question the government. Or maybe you meet someone who doesn't feel that the government can protect them since the "summer of love 2020". We may make jokes about people who were once vocal about not needing guns. That is, right up until something scared them into buying one, of course. It is important to keep in mind that these people are essentially staring down into the rabbit hole. All you need to do is give them a little push and they'll fall right down into it.

I noticed recently that it's easy to attract people who would normally shy away from our community, by talking with them about off grid solutions. It attracts the prepper community, the environmentally conscious community and even people who just want more efficiency. So far it seems to serve as a good amalgamater to bring opposing people together under a common goal, which actually starts to open up conversation between people who disagree with each other and ultimately form a general understanding and respect for each other. I remember when CHOP was formed in Seattle. A lot of us cringed about it, but if you see how it was set up, those people where really just craving freedom and self sufficiency. No different than us. I guess my point is we should stop excluding people who may have just got lost in the media propaganda, because most of us ultimately have the same goals, just influenced differently by opposing forces. That could open up way more opportunities to create networks.

I agree with the approach here, especially the emphasis on starting with improving yourself to become the type of person that people would want to become friends with. Even if you have good intentions, trying to force a relationship with someone will likely drive them away. On that note, one thing I would add to this podcast is the importance of patience. When you meet new people, it takes a significant amount of time to build legitimate trust. It cannot be rushed. If you are a humble, smart, and capable person, and you consistently spend time around similar people, I have faith that those friendships will naturally develop.

You guys are spot on with all your stuff! I live in British Columbia, and it’s a lot harder up here to practice and train, with our current overlords, but we have been meeting people slowly through prepper fb groups and through the local gun clubs. We now have about 6-8 guys and gals who meet up regularly to train and prepare for various situations. Community is so important, and I’m very grateful for channels like yours who are willing to share the knowledge and skills to help us survive and thrive in an ever-changing world. I admire and envy the 2A in America and I hope Canada is an example to you of why you can never lose the right to bear arms. Semi-auto rifles for the most part are banned, including semi-auto shotguns and even some bolt action rifles. Handguns are now frozen and can’t be purchased,sold, or transferred, and there’s even more they’re trying to push through our parliament as we speak. Handguns can’t be shot anywhere except for a government approved range, and self-defence is not a valid reason for owning a firearm. Stay safe! And thanks again 👊

I can't put into words how much I feel for you Canada bros. They're just straight stripping away your rights and most of the dumbasses in the big cities just cheer them on. Absolutely despicable. The US is fucked, too, but at least we have a shield. It won't stop them but it slows them down enough that we have a chance to keep fighting. Always know that you're welcome down here and we could always use more good people. But I know good dudes rarely want to leave the nation they love. Unfortunately most of America's immigrants come only to use us for our wealth, not because they're good patriotic folks who love America and its ideals. In any case, God bless all the good people of Canada and I hope you find your way back to freedom. ❤️🤍💙🇨🇦🇺🇸

I'm sure there's a fair share of people in my shoes or similar ones; raised in a city and truly want to escape. The people and the unnecessary garbage, the trends, the loans, the nonsense jobs, all of it. I get it, the VAST majority of city dwellers are totally mindless and don't work. But the $50,000 annual income I make to be a top 1% worker (not trying to he boastful) isn't enough, if I were offered a traditional farmhand lifestyle in its stead. Maybe my ignorance is talking, but "harder" work that's more grounded in reality, living a life that's not perpetually coping or trying to escape daily monotony, sounds much better to me. I clean used oil tanks with layers of grease, shoveling ANY amount of animal waste is a day in the park. Standing in the sun is much better than baking in a warehouse. If I'm fed, hydrated, and have a place to lay down at night, I'm set. Add a little drink for celebration, that makes for a perfect lifestyle, in my eyes.

Here is some of my advice. If you like tinkering with things. Do rc truck builds. Meet folks in that and some of the average dudes in there are smart when it comes to the electrical running of small intricate things. It’s good knowledge to learn. Another is wood working. Learning do work with wood is very obvious but you can meet people with many many facets of knowledge in various areas. Or fishing clubs that’s a good one too to learn the best fishing spots and techniques of your area and what lure or fly is best at which time of year. Overall invest in your community. I recently moved to a new small town and I have made a point to go to every shop around and personally meet the people who work there and their owners to establish a beginning relationship. Get out there fellas and invest in your communities and poke around you’ll find that the least likely person you’d expect has a lot in common with you. Regardless boys build your community with invested interest your money and your time. These things can pay off huge in the long run and hey who knows you might run into another DC in yours pursuits.

When building a community, trust is very important. I've been trying to build one or involve my self to find like minded people, weather it's gun clubs , gun stores, gardening etc,etc. In almost all cases ,things go great at first then when the weeks go by the feelings change about wanting to share knowledge & experience with these people. I find people in almost all cases ,once they gotten the information & learning things from you they tend to disappear in short order. I've been prepping now since 1995 most of my relatives do not prep thinking the government is going to look after them. Even neighbors in my area do not prep for anything from my observation. I've tried for decades letting them know what needs to be done to prepp when things go south. Most of the answers I get is when thing go bad I'll just come over & get it from you , like I'm just going to hand anything they need without expecting in return. Most people are selfish lazy not willing to lift a finger & want anything they can get from anyone for free. I've come to a point now of over 25 years trying to get a group of like minded people to help each other, well it seems its not happening. I'll be taking care of my family first & everything else is not in the picture . My thoughts are now if people are going to steal or try to rob me of my things in my dwelling, I'll have a piece of lead with their number on it. I've worked way to hard over the decades to just hand things , giveaways what people will or might need for free. Whe people don't invest into the future for things turn bad , they usually get nothing . We reap what we soe, such is life. All I know is that I have God & his son Jesus Christ that I can truly trust & depend on with prayers & answers for all my needs. I've had dreams flying up in the air , above the clouds with other people as I watch the earth below my feet. Not sure if it's the rapture I'll be in or what , it's just a dream. Life on earth is short but having ever lasting life with God with his son is forever, never ending. Blessings , love & peace to all , may God & the holy spirit guide you in your daily walk in life. AMEN !

My goal is to preserve the dairies ranchers and farmers so that we can all eat and live together just as the community started. It is refreshing to see someone bringing it all together in such a well-produced way, and without the political or societal rants that often accompany some of these subjects. Well-reasoned discussion and quality content are hard to come by. By the way, the quote you were looking for is, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results,”. However, while attributed to Einstein, historians seem to agree that the first time it actually appears is in a Narcotics Anonymous document from 1981. Totally not trying to armchair quarterback this comment(heading into work right now), but a quick axiom that I could use is: “Social skills can kill, and use physical fitness as a barrier of entry to your group” The more socially aware everyone is obviously the better, can totally diffuse situations too. Use physical fitness to test those commited, if they quit after it gets a little tough than you learned ahead of time what theyre made of. Just found this channel awesome content!

My hobbies are Amatuer radio, 2A, entry level homesteading, hunting, church goer, the basic rural American thing. I have joined groups around all those and I am almost always the youngest or amoung the youngest in the group. When I say group....like 8 out of 50 people. Sometimes You have to give away some fruit to sell the crop. Find a way to give back to your community. Be constant with it. People want to help but are unguided you start people will come. Try to let the community see you giving freely or seeing your works, not for recognition but for inspiration.

Taking a personal security risk here for the greater good. I have been a part of the patriot community for about 10 years now. I have been a member of multiple pro constitutional militias over the years seeking training and community. I have found that most militias are total garbage, and only served to waste my time and resources. If you are in the state of Ohio and are interested in a pro constitutional militia to find community, the only one I recommend right now is the Ohio defense force, or ODF. They are the oldest and most well established militia in Ohio and in my opinion they are the only Ohio militia that is combat effective. I will not tell you whether you should or should not join a militia, form your own opinions and make your own decisions, but if you do want to join one in Ohio I recommend the ODF

Hey everybody, ive been struggling to find people like me in my age group as i am quite young, not even old enough to drink. ive been looking at trying to make a community in my age group with similar interests as me but I struggle to make friends as im pickexd on plenty and am seen as an outcast which i dont mind but it makes making friends hard. I know this sounds childish but i saw this video and finally saw a group of people who have similar interests and it gives me the smallest sliver of hope for the future, thanks DC, you guys rock. (P.S. yo should make an edc and bugout basics video, i havent been able to find a video about that sort of thing its all more of a pocket dump, i was wondering if you guys could make a video of what things you should bring and give multiple recommendations and why they work. plus we need a plan for it, when SHTF there needs to be a VERY basic plan for bugging out or in, just a video for people questioning joining the community and a video saying you can join this sort of community even with pretty basic gear and a basic plan.)

Quick comment on being on a list. As far as being a person of interest from the governments perspective, any of these reasons put you on a list. 1. CCW permit. 2. Hunting license. 3. Posted in a Political page on FB. (Most likely) 4. Purchased a firearm or accessories with a credit card or PayPal, before PayPal shut this option off. 5. Paid for range time with a credit card. Basically, most in the 2A community is on a list already.
@firefly9838
@firefly9838 Год назад
1. Live in a state that doesn't require CCW permits to carry. 2. If you need food, got get food. Why are we asking permission to shoot our food. Just be a good steward to Mother Nature and no one should care. 3. Get rid of FB, I've never had it and I'm young, you'll live. 4. Pay in cash or trades or get lucky enough to be "gifted" things . 5. Shoot on private or public land approved for shooting. Both are usually free and less constraining than indoor ranges.

My community consists of me and family members. Started out as 4 of us total but is slowly weeding down to just me and another. We share the goal of training and wanting to eventually become self sustainable, (pretty much whenever I’m ready to go to the range he is and if I can’t make it from work to go hunting he does and saves some meat for me. Recently he stated he may hunt ducks this year and I offered him my shotgun to try out) we can talk ( the conversations aren’t forced as we are like minded on a few core ideas), we can disagree,( we disagree often but we talk through it and each side is open to listen), and lastly we hold each other accountable (we can have those hard but necessary conversations)

This, 100% this. As I commented on the first video. Alienating our wives, but especially our sisters, cousins, mothers, and daughters into some weird religious view of "men are the only/main provider/fighter" is going to be the fall of many groups. Leave religion off the front page as well, but you NEED to treat women as they are... your life partner, your wife, your best friend, your #2, your sister, but mostly as another competent, capable, aware and impactful individual in the community/squad/group/home.

Women refuse to let men have anything for themselves. They insist on intruding into everything. They go on about how they're just "one of the guys" but can't handle actual male interactions. Married men generally don't want to associate with women who are not in their family or in the family of their male friends. It's bad for their marriage to introduce unmarried women into groups. If you're married, you're by definition included into anything your husband is included in. Men will never see women as the same as men. Not that they're less, just different. Why modern women fail to understand this, I cannot fathom. It's been understood all over the world for all of human history and hence why we generally segregate the sexes.

Its been a really weird struggle. I'm in the country, but in an area that has yet to produce many people with this mindset, at least that I can see. I have friends that i've convinced to buy some personal protection, in several cases even rifles, but it pretty much stops there. The level of preparedness is minimal at best and non-existent at worst. In some cases the individuals are just nihilistically dismissive about any notion of being self prepared. They are "ready for it all to burn" and don't want to stop it or be prepared for. Obviously, this isn't the type of person we should be looking for, so my one friend who is kinda getting there is gonna be my focus. But also, I just need to reach out further beyond my immediate circle that I interact with daily. There has to be people in my area, I just need to put myself in a position where I can find them.

An awesome book to read (or audio) is called ‘Influence:Science and Practice’ by Robert Cialdini The phenomenon you guys are trying to describe is called ‘reciprocation’, humans have an instinctive drive to not only repay kind helpful actions back to others but actually give back much more than we were given. Exactly how/why this deep (genetic?) behavior has formed in terms of human survival of the individual and/or group is debatable, but it is very powerful…unless!…someones intent is to use the phenomena to selfishly manipulate you into giving back a huge return relative to the much smaller gift or favor they did for you…then it is just seen as manipulation and it backfires very badly, you would then be labeled a ‘con artist’. There are other important social survival principles discussed in the book but ‘reciprocation’ is a an important issue

I’m looking to start my own community up in maine in about 4-5 years. This video gave me a good insight on the types of people I’d love to take part in the same goal. Typically a conservative mindset kind of guy. Trying to “build a city on rock and rock”so to speak. Unfortunately like y’all said near the beginning, some things on social media beat not to be said since it raises red flags to the higher ups (though to us it’s about as normal as you can get) I’m generally looking for a 300-400 acre plot at least to start and grow from there.

Finding like minded people is not as easy in all parts of this great country. In the hills of the South and West it's more likely than not to meet them. Elsewhere there are far more uninterested, and often actively anti- people out there. And I'm not talking about finding a group of door-kickers... I'm talking about simply finding people who want to do things outdoors & make/learn things together. Transforming the paradigm from "us vs. them" into "We The People" may be insurmountable given the current generational indoctrination.
