Thanks for sharing this video. It will save us a lot of time. I am still at the 'zero' side of the Zero to Hero scale, so maybe next is a silly question. What about the following scenario: Template is created and used as starting point for a number of dashboards. For example, a number of fixed filters is used in multiple dashboards. Then somebody thinks of another standard filter to be applied to all created dashboards. If I understand the template scenario correctly, I still have to change all the created dashboards one by one to add this extra filter. Is this correct, or is there an easier way to do this?
Hi Johan, I love the fact that you're already thinking about scalability. Great question! You could use Row Level Security in cases where you're distributing your dashboards to multiple clients, the dashboards are identical, but the data must be filtered differently for each report. I would also suggest checking out InterWorks' Power Tools for Tableau, but I don't have experience using them, so can't comment on their usefulness. I'll look into this to see if there is another way!
Figma has a Tableau UI kit that allows you to prototype dashboards (I don't have any experience with this), but you can read more about it here : www.figma.com/community/file/1049839808166473920
