I've invested primarily in dividends for a very long time. This is not to say that I do not own growth stocks-I do. A well-rounded portfolio has to include elements from both areas. Maintaining a sizable cash cushion is one technique to reduce the stress associated with stock market trading. Although I invest in the market, I never use all of my funds there.

Instead of reinvesting in the same stock, I occasionally utilize my dividends to purchase additional income and growth stocks for diversification. But to each their own ways. What matters is that you're investing in the first place, which is a positive thing.

There are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’Marisa Michelle Litwinsky for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.

My dividend journey began when I realized that two particular expenses in my budget were always going to go up and never go down. The two expenses were taxes and insurance. I realized that the dramatic rise in both will need some added income. So, I started buying shares paying dividends. I can now see that this will be the path I need to take to make sure those two expenses will not overtake my future income.

As a beginner, educate yourself, Learn the basics of investing and the stock market. There are many resources available online, including books, articles, and online courses. It’s a good idea to diversify your portfolio across different stocks and sectors to minimize risk. I’ve heard of people accruing over $550k during recessions and inflation, its important to do your own research.

Yes, I've been in constant touch with a Financial Analyst for approximately 8 months. You know, these days it's really easy to buy into trending stocks, but the task is determining when to sell or keep. That's where my manager comes in, to help me with entry and exit points in the industries I'm engaged in. Nice illustrative video. I own a couple of dividend aristocrats. After my broker diversified my portfolio, I've been able to scale up $620k in dividend. It’s an approach I recommend.

I think this is good advice, but better for people who are closer to retirement. My opinion for young people is you need to be both a dividend investor and a growth investor, and you can let the market determine your allocation. For example if I just got a 1000% gain on Tesla and then pulled 85% of the money out and went into a load of more stable dividend stocks like AT & T. So I would say diversify, but also use those growth opportunities to build the capital to invest in the dividend payers (or in cash flowing real estate) this has been pretty much how i built a 7 figure portfolio with my fiduciary.

Dividends are taxed at a flat 30%. It won't have a significant effect in the short run, as dividend income is slightly lower. It will take effect in the later years, but during that time, the compounding is so significant that the tax rate does not affect it much.

Not true. You can live off 40k a year in dividends single and 80k a year joint, pending the type of company paying the divided. Reits are always taxed but Coke for example isn’t until you hit 40k/80k mark. None of it is taxed in a Roth but you are limited to the amount per year you can contribute. $7500 is the max per year single.
