In this video I show how I built myself a fan dryer with the purpose of drying out my painted, dyed, and antiqued leather faster. It's not expensive to build and goes together real quick. I hope you enjoy.

That’s one part of leather work I don’t care for . It’s not so bad if your working on multiple projects but a one off brings out the hair dryer.lol gonna give that a try already have a tote .thanks

you need more vent holes. the fan will not build pressure so you are creating a bottle neck. more vent holes will increase air flow and speed up drying

I'd recommend connecting the holes. Like cutting an oblong when you don't have an oblong punch. It will increase the flow of air. Remember, moisture from a project will transfer to the air. If the air flow is too low, the moisture remains and the project will take longer to dry. But that's my only critique on this project lol. It's an amazing idea. I'm moving to an apartment and I was wondering how I'd find the room to dry a project lol now I can set it on my balcony and as long as it's not raining, this will be a game changer for me! Thanks for sharing this with us

The fan is ingesting dust and debris and it's still focused at the item. Setting up a fan without the tub and focusing it at the item would still yield the same result. Adding a filter is the only thing that would make a difference.

If I had the extra space I think that would work great but for now I’ll have to get by with a hairdryer
