These videos are brilliant! I'm trying to build a wooden hot tub. I have a stack of wood. I'm okay with that bit but this series of videos is a great help in working out the ins and outs of the plumbing. Thank you!
Thanks Keith, really appreciate the comments - makes the hard work putting out videos each week worthwhile! Enjoy and have a great weekend - cheer, Andi
WOW! What you said about joining secondary heat sources was music to my ears. I've got a control pack that I'm not happy with the heating capabilities but need the control, just like you said. I've ordered a propane heater but can't figure out how I'm going to run the pump for circulation (I don't have jets) and control the light. Do most packs have the capability of hooking up a secondary heater sources? How do you combine?
Hi Chad, thanks for the comment. Combining multiple heating sources on a Spa Pack you would usually control the auxiliary, in this case your propane heater by flow. What this means is that when the circulation pump is running, the propane heater will heat (as there is water flow going through it) until it hits its own temerature that you have set on the termostat. Circulation pump stops, no fow so no heat on the propane heater. You should match the thermostat to the same heat you set on your spa pack. You will not connect this propane heater in any way to your Spa Pack. Whilst it will sit inline with your plumbing, it operates and is powered independently. Hope this helps. Thanks - Andi
