This video will guide you through the process of converting a Harbor Freight utility trailer into a jet ski trailer with carpeted bunks.

How has this held up over the past couple of years? Buying a used ski without a trailer and the trailers are NUTS to buy, so interested in doing this myself.

What Harbor freight trailer did you use, The heavy duty or the super duty trailer?

We just used the smallest/cheapest one they sell, it was like $300 and came in two boxes lol

What do you think boat bunks are made out of? Lmao go look at any jetski trailer on the market - they use 2x4s

Yeah, the utility trailer from Harbor Freight comes with a title, you just need to go register it at the DMV.

What was your distance between the two bunks?

11.5 inches. Same on both sides

It was like $250 for the trailer and another $50 or so in materials

I would use this around my river house behind my golf cart but idk about the freeway

Personally towed well over 400 miles (including freeway and off-road) with this setup with no issue, couple of ratchet straps across it and its secure

Just a bracket at each end without one in the center of the bunk seems weak.

2x6 on its side is incredibly strong. Also you might want to go look at how every jetski trailer ever is set up I’ve never seen one with center brackets.
