I like the solid foundation you poured on this. I love seeing when people build things right and don’t cut any corners. Is that wood preservative or stain that you are painting onto the beams?
@@The_Koi_Pit yeah there’s no point in cutting corners when messing with this amount of water.. one mistake and it could be an expensive one 😂 I believe it was a wood preserver on the inside, and then my dad has since stained the outside!

not bad its like my pond check out my pond build video. The only thing I would say you should have installed a epdm liner its more expensive but in the long run its worth it. As the liner you have used if it tears you wont be able to repair it.

I hope the second filter is going to be a DIY bakki shower also hope you install one of those telescopic pond skimmers that sit in the bottom of your pond weighed down with rocks with a round floating skimmer basket 🧺 just type DIY bakki shower into the RU-vid serch bar and youll see what i mean ! Nice pond build and lovely garden 👍
@@terencegander8342 we did not know it’s toxic to the koi to be fair, so thank you for that, appreciate it! There will be a cover going over the pond to stop anything from falling in 🙂
I’m not 100% sure to be honest with you my friend! This was my dad’s build so I was less involved with the ordering of materials. I think he managed to get the sleepers for £19 each which would’ve been the most expensive part
