Great build, I've been looking for a video like this for ages. We plan on doing the hidden toilet. What type of door frame did you get for the toilet hatch?

Thank you 😊 we purchased an stainles steel door from our local Bunnings and replaced the door with the same material as our shower door.😀

Very thorough - you put a lot of thought into this. Well done! Could be built just as sturdy using thinner material, ripping your studs (verticals) down to 1” x 2-3/4”, etc if weight is a concern.

Thanks for watching Rusty.! Yes in hindsight the 4 x 2 was a little overkill 🤦‍♂️ if I was to do it again I would definitely use lighter Timber. Thanks for your feedback though I really appreciate it 🚐😀

Thanks guys! Glad that you got some value from the video 😀😀 Yes there are several ways you can build a shower in a van. In hindsight we probably went a little too heavy using the 4 x 2 timber frame. If your worried about weight I would use lighter timber. Good luck with the build 🚐😀

Quite good workmanship and ideas but, way overboard in design and weight. Could have reduced the weight by 2/3s easily.

I’ve spent so long looking for a video explaining how to build a hidden toilet in the shower, so thanks for the great video! Did you find someone in Australia that does custom shower trays or did you just get it done at a local metal shop?
