yo i dont get that screen when i click edit, instead i get "Object| Message" and I have to start from a blank template

Looking at getting into Live. Would you recommend starting with Suite, or Standard?

I say Suite if you can afford it, nothing in Ableton is not useful, and I think you get a lot more in Suite than the additional cost would suggest. www.ableton.com/en/live/feature-comparison/#feature-packs

Jude Pierre May as well spend the extra and get it with Push. Someone on eBay doing a package deal for £670, don't know if it's legit though. Bought a 16GB MacBook Pro in September to use for Traktor and Live and at mo only using it for browsing lol

Karl Karll yeah u can create all sorts of effects too. and softsynths. in fact some softsynths are created in max.

Even better than that, karl. You can make your own plugins/instruments that make your own sounds! How cool is that?! :P

Hi,i have a few question regading max/ableton and all the effects in general.I'm a musician who plays a custom instrument that have 8 strings and can send their signals separately to a device.The problem is that i can't find a solution that permits me to process the signals in analogic(with plugins for example the Eventide Blackhole) , to transform the remainig others in midi(allowing me to use VST such as omnisphere) and that can be controlled with a pedalboard.I don't know the ableton true potential,can be done with this software?And Max also:can i create some effect like the eventide's most famous without their cost with Max for live?Thanks in advance.I really need some help.I have a lot of projects and dreams that need to be realized :-)
