I just built these using the plans from your store. I absolutely love them! Thank you so much. The plans made everything super easy! The Mid-Century Modern Dresser is next!!! Keep up the amazing content.
Your timing is impeccable, ma'am. We may be needing guest room furniture for a house we'll be moving to and this would look perfect given the age of the home. Thank you!
I am super impressed that you could pre-mount that drawer front and it line up properly. That would never happen for me lol. It's even more impressive inside that whole inset/overlap setup you had on this build. Great looking pieces!
Haha I got lucky. I don’t normally do it that way because I’m sure I would get it wrong more times than I’d get it right 🙈😂 I’m glad you enjoyed the video and the design. Thanks so much for watching!
Nicely done Shara....you definitely captured that 50-60's look in your night stands. I agree with your struggle of choosing a which side of the plywood to use....been there myself. Thanks for all the time and effort to put into your channel.
Love this and looking forward to the series! Good choice to mix "character" and "plain/boring"... Agree that "all character" might have been a tad much 👍.
Very nice design! I like the way you mounted the legs on a 45. Another great use for a speed square! You always have a great video that illustrates the step by step build. Have a great weekend and keep on building!
Thank you! I had been looking for a night stand design to replace the Wal Mart special that's currently in use. I'm going to add a wireless charger embedded in the top and a spot for a swing arm lamp.
Just came across your channel. Love the projects you build. My daughter loves mid-century modern furniture and these nights stands are perfect. Look forward to checking out your other videos.
I just found your channel saw the Woodworking talk show you were on and now I'm hooked on your videos. I'm new to woodworking and you give me a lot of great ideas and I'm learning a lot from you also your very beautiful and talented. :)
Btw, I just purchased the plans, and your plans are by far some of the nicest, cleanest, visually pleasing, well laid out, and organized that I have seen/purchased in a long time! Kudos!
You can use my drawer building guide to figure out how to easily add the second drawer. It’ll walk you through figuring dimensions and installing: www.woodshopdiaries.com/theres-no-wrong-way-to-make-a-drawer/
Absolutely awesome build yet again :) you are a pleasure to watch, being a cabinet maker myself I appreciate the effort gone into this, please carry on being awesome because as long as you make videos you will have an avid follower here.
Beautiful work Shara!! I really like the look of these. I think I might have to give these one a go myself. Like alway keep up the great work. Looking forward to you next project. Stay safe. 😀😀👍
Thank you so much. I literally just use a brush and apply a poly-Minwax helmsman. I’ve linked what I used in the description. Simply brushed on a few coats. I have a guide to how I finish my furniture pieces here: www.woodshopdiaries.com/how-to-finish-raw-wood-furniture-without-a-sprayer/
Don’t let them intimidate you! I have a detailed guide to measuring, building and installing them here: www.woodshopdiaries.com/theres-no-wrong-way-to-make-a-drawer/
Beautiful work, Shara. I’ll be looking forward to seeing more of this bedroom set as you progress. I’ve got a future guest room just waiting for new furniture. ... A suggestion ... use a remote mic for your in-shop narration. It should cut down on any background noise and echo. Love the voiceover narration.
@@WoodshopDiaries I am actually just starting out in woodworking and love the simplistic approach you use. Its easy to understand and straight to the point. Others talk endlessly and use alot of complicated methods basically to "flex" just to arrive to the same result that you do!
