This entire project was around 180 €/$ to build. I got all the material and things i needed from the local hardware store.
I am starting a new BMW R80 scrambler build and need a cheap, movable and strong workbench. So I figured I would just build one myself and share with you how I did it.

Great bench for small cycles but nobody has a design for a Seven or eight hundred pound bike.

Thank you very much! I’ve built a similar one from metal, which is much more rigid. I used a wooden top plate as well to save some money, but if you’d exchange that for a steel plate it might actually be strong enough for a big bike like that. You can find the video on my channel.

It was fine but if I'd build it again I would definitely put more support beams underneath both of the plates. I've just recently built an updated version from metal. I've also included the plans in the video description of the new video, in case those might help you.

Great job any idea what weight limit? I have a big Harley Davidson Electra glide.

The BMW is almost 200 kg. If I would build it again I would add some more support on the frame just underneath the wooden plates on top, increase the thickness of the top layer of plates a bit, add a few vertical support poles between the top and bottom part, and upgrade the rolls. I can't promise anything but then I think it should be very mich strong enough for even bigger bikes than the bmw. You need to check how much the material will add up to or if you could get a used hydraulic one at that point. Depends probably a lot on where you're from as well. Let me know how you do it :)
