Wow, so nice! I cant believe it, you mixed and poured the concrete to each piece and then finish the surfaces in one day. I don't understand, why you have pieces of wood under the first step before you pour the concrete over top of the wood?
Thanks, it was actually 2 days to pour the concrete. The reason why concrete was poured on top of the wood was to create a floating effect. I removed that wood when concrete dried.
I’m in the process of making a modern look similar to yours. But looking for largest slabs instead (2’ by 3’) Cambridge pavers. My area is 45’ by 30’ so pouring concrete would take forever and that’s the reason for slabs. What is your spacing between slabs? 3” or less? I was originally thinking of doing 1.5” but rocks wouldn’t look right. I like the spacing you have instead.
The spacing between slabs i have is actually is 6". I've found out that the easiest and best looking way to do it is either 4.5" or 6" gap. Some of these slabs are 3x5'. Also, if this is the only area you'll have available for patio usage I'd make the first part maybe 15x15' solid paver or concrete patio with no gaps so it's easier to set tables and furniture then the rest make it with gaps. It will look very nice and you will be glad you did it like that. In my case in this video I already had 2 patios that's why I did the whole thing like that.
