Another tip pal don't measure nogs separately if you put your joists at 400mm they should all be the same distance apart normally last one will be different tho but take the distance from the fixed end. Keep up the good work tho lads only trying to help you out. 👍

most people leave out the part with the cement but some people are dumb like that and its always best to have everything u need when ur working but always cement stuff like decking and poles stuff like that in just in case the wind or something pulls it out and away

Awesome work. But i would say the wooden posts will rot and replacing them will be a huge expensive job. You can get steel/metal anchor/brackets that go into the ground , then the wooden posts are bolted into them.

I built my pergola 7 years ago - same method . Some decking boards showing slight rot at the ends even after pre treating . Not too sure how long the thin strips of the roof will last though on yours . Must be a bugger to maintain ? I'm also a Dewalt guy . The 850 is a beast .

Great video 👍👍 how is the flexvolt chopsaw and table saw ? Flexvolt circular saw is my next purchase as I have used it and it is amazing. Unsure how the chop saw/table saw would hold up though in terms of battery life ?

Looks nice lads but I’d worry about it bouncing in the middle I’ve done quite a bit of decking and all ways concrete post posts on every or every other joist it looks to me like that will sag very quick but yeah it does look smart

@@paulmorrison30any lumber that touches the ground does eventually rot. The design is nice, just need to replace the post with lumber treated wood.

yeah, I don't get why they treated the ends of the floor boards they cut but they weren't using treated lumber? Here in USA treated lumber is a distinguished color... not sure if it is like that across the pond. That other guy that responded to your comment has no idea about building materials. He must think concrete (sorry, 'postcrete') has no moisture in it or doesn't absorb moisture... lol He should go read up on how porous concrete actually is.
