As a professional woodworker for over 40 years this is one of the coolest and best jigs I've ever seen. absolute Genius. Excellent job on the video and editing, easy to follow and understand. Currently living in Africa , developing a small vocational school. straight ,flat, dry lumber is almost impossible to come by. If I can complete one of these before I leave it will truly be an answer to prayer. Thanks so much for sharing.

12/17/2018 This made me smile. Big. You have done an outstanding job of creating the video, not wasting time, assembling all the information in an easily readable and usable format, and demonstrated the build, the use, the effectiveness. And you cited your source. Thank you for being on RU-vid.

Dear Rod, thanks for sharing your workup of the magazine idea. It certainly fills a void in our ability to turn rough little boards into flat, parallel boards. This is something every woodworker could take advantage of over time. Well done. Nice video and editing work. Thanks for sharing.

Have to agree with the other comments about best how to video ever seen - a great deal of thought has gone into constructing it for optimal efficiency and I will make use of the principles for some instructional material for which I am responsible. Thanks for that - and for bringing such a practical idea to RU-vid - I will pass it on to our Men's Shed as a project we can build for our members.

I really liked the pacing of this video - your up-front apology had me worried, but you show the info three times, there's always enough time to pause, and you follow a direct path through the build that is easily followed. Your diagrams are clear, your material listing are formatted in two ways to suit different audiences, and your narrative is precise, articulate and interesting. In other words, fantastic work, be proud of it!
