#Homemade #pipeorgan #medievalorgan
In this format I'll show you How to build a portative Pipe Organ, homemade, in medieval style.
In this video #32 we will see the completion of the Bellows. SUB ITA
These building videos will be released every month
The journey begins! this fine woodworking process it will take a long time to complete. I hope you enjoy this series of videos.
After my homemade pipe organ, thisi is my second organ project.
I remind that I'm not a professional organ builder, but only an enthusiast.
these videos are not real tutorials, but entertainment. however, from these you can understand how to build it too.
When using any kind of tools and machinery, I strongly recommend you always have to refer precisely to the manufacturer's guidelines & safety manual.

Thanks, in italian "Colla Garavella forte" or strong hot hide glue.

I guess it's bone-glue that hardens by cooling down and drying out. A reversible process, glue is not water resistant. I applied is for the 66 small bellows of my pianola (player piano). Ciao!

Great work. Looking forward to hearing you play the organ. Is hot glue especially suitable for textiles in the organ?
@nippocast
@nippocast 3 года назад
Thanks! it is particularly suitable where there is a need for reversibility with heat, moreover traditionally it has always been used.

Do all pipe organs have a string or spring attached to the bellow? if there are non, and there is no heavy weights on the Bellow, will it give issues ? Reason being is that when i strike a chord and in a few secs it goes softer or dim ! First chord is loud, rich and firm, in a few seconds it looses key slightly and goes softer. Please advise.
@nippocast
@nippocast 2 года назад
If you mean the bellows of the fixed pipe organs then yes, they all have either a spring or a weight to reach the desired pressure, plus a valve to keep the pressure constant. As far as the portative organ are concerned, like this in the video, everything is different, there is nothing on the bellows, it is only the strength of the musician to create the right pressure.

Ciao ... Grazie

what type of glue here used? Can fevicol wood resin glue will work? or fevicol synthetic glue?

I used hot animal glue. the glue you say is fine as long as it does not dirty the parts of the leather not to be glued, otherwise it stiffens.
