This tutorial video will show you how to build a simple bed frame on a budget. Follow the build step by step and make this easy bed frame in one day only. This bedframe require only basic tool and framing lumber so anyone can build it.

Easy build! Thanks for sharing. One thing to note make sure the screws securing the slats are lower than the thickness of the slat to avoid getting holes in your mattress over time

I would still greatly recommend a center support beam to stabilize the slats and the weight in the middle of the bed. Like this, the bed will sag in the middle too much and put undue pressure on the middle slats.

@@crystalg1186 I don't know how to be clearer... Another piece of wood that runs the length of the bed, through the center, attached to the headboard and footboard, to support the slats in the middle.

I agree, it's called a keel, I suggest using 2 columns per keel. Single size 36 inch wide bed- 1 keel Double size 48in- 2 keels Queen 60in- 3 keels King 72in - 4 keels

thanki you so much, great and simple video! judging for the sheets, the bed was for a kid, but, being myself a 6 ft tall, 200 pounds guy, I'd put an extra central beam with a couple of extra legs for better support if I make it for me.

For me the bed would be a bit too low to the floor, but the simple design is great for beginners. Superb.

easy peacy bed frame other videos claim easy to build frames then come up woth bunch of toll not e eryone have readily available , been meaning to build a twin bed frame and this way its simple ans i can use a jig saw for sure ..thank you for this video

They sell Metal inside corner Metal brackets you can chisel in to take the load of from the crews and lands on the metal bracket. I like it versus the anchored bolts because the screw will back out with time. But it’s an awesome build.

You can google bed corner brackets and when you install them you can even use a flat head to make the holes.

Thank you for the design idea. I'm on very limited budget. I'll have to check how much 2x6s are in my city. Philippines may be lower cost of living but it's not easy when unemployed. PS. Don't buy military cots or folding beds unless they're *Made in America* quality of material matters!!!

What would it be the measurements for a twin bed my daughter wants some like this also can I go to Home Depot and just asked them to cut it for me?? Do you know if you can rent equipment with them too???

It’s easier to measure your mattress since there are variances with mattress measurements. Some people like gaps around the inside to allow comforters to tuck in and some don’t. His design allows you to literally use a hand saw to cut the boards to length. Or ask a neighbor if they have a chop saw. Powered Hand saws are a bit dangerous if you don’t have the experience. 3pieces of - 2”x6”x8ft lumber 2 pieces of- 2x2x8ft. 4 cuts on the 2x6 for the sides and front and back and 2 cuts on the 2x2 for the inside support rails. But please use stainless steel screws, drywall screws break.
