No need for glue. The high heat with it will cause fumes. Measure and pack tight. It will still work. Love Q-PID : )

How is the heat vented to the inside of the building . . .

so the cans wont get freezing cold on some minus 8 temperature,so the air get cold while blowing un the house?

What do the cans do? Wouldn’t a black box have the same affect? There’s only so much sunlight in that space right?

It looks like you did not cut the ends of the cans off ! If I'm wrong excuse me. but this will decrease air flow finominaly. If I were to build from cans Id cut the entire end off to make as much a single tube as possible. No air foils between connections.

Not going to improve much because the heat induction is not that fast anyway. This will slow it minutely but there will also be more metal to store the heat. So end of day wont do much to cut whole bottom
@smklvr69

@@zarni000 actually it does makes a large difference when you remove the bottom center of the cans (inside of the lip where the top can sits above the bottom can) and then you cut out the top side of the can makes it so more air volume is moved through the cans = quicker transfer of heat. Versus just allowing the heat to come out of the top of the can through the tab port and feed into a small hole in the bottom of the next can would take longer to transfer heat.

@@smklvr69 maybe if you do actually need fast transfer which is questionable. You would easily cool it even with very slow moving air. If you are talking about a long enough pipe you would see some effect but for this kind of application wont be much really.

It really seems easier to just buy a solar panel!

Yes, hello, I was one of the members on this team for high school. Looking back at it, this was mostly a project to reuse soda cans. Although this required much more effort with spray paint and 2x4's, etc. But this was a project for high school students so there were many aspects of the project that we didn't consider nor had time to care about lol. I look back on this video and the experience with fond memories however.

Solar panels produce electricity, this device produces heated air like a furnace.
