I was looking for a straight edge polisher to polish 3cm to 15cm slabs, using the least amount of electricity and water. So I designed and manufactured one at low cost using materials that came off the shelf. Enjoy
it is really great , like it so much < I have an edge polisher machine < problem is that the slab keeps getting away from the polisher , I like the wood sticks idea you might consider building a vertical edge polisher as the Italian one < more effective and simpler
Hi Al Saraya I have tried using feeder rollers at an angle but it bosn't grab hold of the polished granite, so we cut planks with a groove to hold the granite face against the polishers. I have a small workshop so it's not suitable to build more machines but I have made the plans available on GrabCAD
A nice idea, you could think about the pressure and the rolls under a slight slant so as not to have to press the material. Why did you not look for something used and do not rework the machine being used?
Fair question, I like to work with what I can get my hands on. So when I found this sorting conveyer for a bargain, I bought it. The planks work well and do the job. I would like to have put a set of pinch rollers in but found the granite was too slippery.
