thanks for this series. watching you work is really a treat. your attention to detail is exactly the way i like to work, too. you remind me of my cabinetmaking instructor, he was quite a mentor of mine.
Very helpful. I wish I had seen the pattern in which you nailed down the felt paper though. I wasn't sure if you nailed the ends that were curling to the sides of the rafters.
Thanks i think this is exactly what i needed for my toolshed as im not able to access the back of the shed once the backwall is up. I planned for longer rafters at the back over the backwall first but then i would have to be able to access the back of the shed to finish it. This way i believe everything can be done from the front🙏🏻👍🏻 Just a sidenote but how can i prohibit water from running down the backwall instead of dripping down as it should from an overhanging roof at the back? My shed will not be under another roof as this one, but close to our neighbours fence
Thank you for the great instructions you provide. I really enjoy your videos. However, I have a question. How do we weather proof the sides which back up against the back wall. I’m anchoring my shed to the wall of my house. I have a brick veneer house, but the concern would be the same regardless of it being weatherboard or brick veneer. My concern is when it rains directly in that area (back house wall) or when the wind pushes the rain in that direction, it will rot out the back wall. Does anyone here have any ideas or suggestions to deal with this? Thank you guys in advance 🙏
what I am currently doing is ice and water shield lapped up the walls from the roof and end wall flashing tucked under the house siding and then installed on top of the roofing material
Can someone tell me why you need a cap plate between the rafters and the frame itself ? Is it for added strength and is it strictly necessary ? Could the birds mouth cut in the rafters not just sit on the frame itself ?
Could you post the video how to finish your roof please?. I have been building the shed that look the same as your with the roof on top of the shed . I do not know how to finish the roof because it is too close to other roof like your. Thank you.
I just published a video How to Install Drip Edge on Shed Roof - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qPlogbqoUC4.html and will publish another video "How to Shingle a Shed" in a couple of days.
Seems good so far! Was easy to talk to about his My Shed Plans [Go Here=> *WoodBlueprints. Com* ]. Guided me in the right direction & helped me understand everything & in the end it was what I wanted
