@@CIintB3ASTW0oD Yes, I dug about a foot underground and used wooden boards for the side that you use for house roofs. I then put a large blue tarp on the bottom and then heavy duty clear plastic over it and it worked great. It was 16 X 8 and 3.5 feet deep. Last summer I was going to make it bigger, 20 X 16 and 4 feet deep but I sold the house.
Bring ya kids, bring ya wife, and bring ya husband cus they're buildin' everybody pools out here. You dont have to build it yourselves! We're looking for you! We gon find you, we gon build it! So you can run and tell that, Run and tell that, While we build that home pool, Home, home, home pool. XD
Nice video. Question, did you guys realize after putting the dirt back down around the pool that you need to install the pvc piping the returns and pump?
We filmed and produced the timelapse video, but we were not the contractors shown in it. There's a chance what you mention is possible, but the answer is lost to time.
Inyo Pools I have inground pool with liner, we now replace liner, what i need put in pool floor, which concrete best for pool? Because my pool in floor have something sandy i think want off sand and cover cement.

Honda cr-v One part Grey Portland Cement to 2-4 parts Vermiculite. That is a semi-porous mineral which will yield a soft firm bottom under your liner. You can adjust the amount of cement according to how strong you need the final product.
Having that much land makes projects so much easier bringing in rigs etc...with an excavator you can diy something like this for 80k as opposed to 190k
You don't have to be rich. A new pool costs as much as a new car. The fancier the pool, like a car, the more it'll cost. Keep it simple and you save a bunch.

You don't have to be rich to build an inground pool just Dig a hole as big as you want it and pour done concrete in the sucker an fill it up.. you don't even have to have running water just let the rain water fill that sucker up an your good to go.. lol 😁
no need to compact the dirt around the pool with a jumping jack? Would fail inspection in FL, unless im missing some thing on why no need for it by code.
Richard thanks for the comment, I believe the orange machine used at the 6:30 mark of the video is what was used to compact the dirt for the pool deck. The pool did pass the soil compaction inspection by the state and I believe that was the piece of equipment that was used to pass the states compaction requirements. Code I found online. CHAPTER 18: SOILS AND FOUNATIONS 1803 EXCAVATION, GRADING AND FILL 1803.5 Compacted fill material. Where footings will bear on compacted fill material, the compacted fill shall comply with the provisions of an approved report, which shall contain the following: 1. Specifications for the preparation of the site prior to placement of compacted fill material. 2. Specifications for material to be used as compacted fill. 3. Test method to be used to determine the maximum dry density and optimum moisture content of the material to be used as compacted soil. 4. Maximum allowable thickness of each lift of compacted fill material. 5. Field test method for determining the in-place dry density of the compacted fill. 6. Minimum acceptable in-place dry density expressed as a percentage of the maximum dry density determined in accordance with Item 3. 7. Number and frequency of field tests required to determine compliance with Item 6. Exception: Compacted fill material less than 12 inches (305 mm) in depth need not comply with an approved report, provided it has been compacted to a minimum of 90 percent Modified Proctor in accordance with ASTM D 1557. The compaction shall be verified by a qualified inspector approved by the building official.
Cool video. How much money can you save by DIY versus buying it? I'd be happy to be part of the crew if and when I need a pool. I'm guessing most companies won't do that because of liabilities.
Interesting video. Thanks for sharing. I would have liked a day count in your info banner. But liked it anyway and my question of how long it took was answered below. Cheers
It's actually snow fence.. for slowing drifting snow down. But has many other uses including a warning barrier, but it wouldn't stop a chihuahua from getting thru it
Kendall, you would have to contact a local swimming pool builder in your area to get an estimate. In the meantime, you can check out our blog of 93 real-world examples of swimming pool costs. www.inyopools.com/Blog/how-much-does-a-pool-cost-90-real-world-examples/
Pool alone I'm sure is about $30,000plus concrete I'd say about $50,000 plus the enclose pushin about$70,000. Our pool was $30k plus concrete on side which was bigger then this ..it came out to $38k I got a good deal. Cuz it was the co I worked for.
That would be a nice affect. Keep in mind with this type of open area backyard, plants and shrubbery can always be added later if the pool needs a little more personality..

Watching a few of these swimming pools and none of them have a diving board. Just a jacuzzi and a water slide. Seems like these cities are becoming terrified of the 99% who got no satisfaction.
