Great job! Thanks for the info. Schedule 40 is about 50% thicker for reference. I think that is the route I’m going.

Is that a 2.5 or 2.25" v band that your going to butt weld to the drivers side manifold?

Were do u have your oil feed coming from? Also how did u hook up the drain as well?? Thx! Very nice by the way!

Caleb Hurteau the feed line comes off of the drivers side of the block above the oil filter. You can get the adapter pretty cheap. The return is a AN to NPT fitting threaded into the right front corner of the oil pan. I drilled and tapped the oil pan before installing it on the engine.

Ken C honestly, just a little bit of time with the angle grinder and a flap disc. There are probably faster ways but the fit up was great.

So is T4 vs T3 flanges kinda like a dual plain vs single plain type of deal? One puts the power more spread out through the power band, and the other favors higher rpm's?

The Bogeyman I don’t believe so. I think they are mostly dependent on the size of the turbo you have/plan to use. Generally speaking, the T4 turbos are bigger than a T3 and T6 are bigger than T4, etc. I’m no expert though. I used a T4 flange on this one but it would be just as easy to do it with a T6 or T3 flange.

How did you determine what size head pipe to use? What I’ve read is you want to use whatever matches the exhaust port size. But then again I see a lot of ppl useing pipe larger then the exhaust port size.

claas90017 honestly I just googled it and have seen the ones other builders have made. I modeled mine mostly after the Fahler Speed version but there are certainly many other acceptable versions out there.

Super nice job on that manifold. Any chance you'd be willing to build another one? I'm trying to retain my air conditioning for my truck. I purchased a hooker turbo manifolds only to find out that the AC won't work.

nice manifold man. been thinking about getting one like this. i dont have the means to build one as nice. also...i see your purging the manifold as you weld it but also noticed you have no valves in the head. is that pointless or does it still help?

kyle orsak I filled the exhaust ports with aluminum foil before bolting the flange on.

I’m on aces page and there’s 2 types of 90’s, a short radius and a long radius. Do you remember which one you ordered for the 5 1-1/2 weldels and the 1 - 2 1/2

How did you prevent all your argon from escaping through the exhaust ports?

Shit Box I didn’t show it but I just balled up some aluminum foil and jammed it in the ports. It worked out well.

I wish I could fab. I'm doing a 90 c1500 with a 09 5.3 and would love a turbo on it. How much would you do a kit for that would clear a holly ac kit?

Nessar 23 I found it through street side auto which is a local vendor to me. It’s very common. Just look up Holley Hi-Ram.

No one ever shows how they fill in the gaps between the outlet going into the T4 flange.

I heated the corners with a torch and used a multitude of tools to mold it to the flange and then welded it

How long is the center section of straight pipe weld to weld

Did you slot the header bolt holes ? I built a set many years ago for a 440 Chrysler and I'm glad did because they would move enough to hear them as they cooled in the garage after a blast. Ref: Tilt from www.theturboforums.com

LSX Volvo Guy luckily I didn’t have to. I used a pretty thick flange that was well made. I kept it bolted to the spare cylinder head the whole time and it didn’t warp much if any.

Why you have a v band on the end should be sealed and then all exhaust will go in to the turbo why have 2 out lets?

Casey Moore honestly I made the video as more of an instructional or how-to. I would consider it but cheaper and more readily available options are out there. Fahler Speed and Performance has a cast version that is very reasonably priced and he still makes the handmade version for a little more money.

304 is not heat resistant. Not good for manifolds.
