For anyone else confused about structures not included in the list or extra structures that weren't needed in the build, the second page of items in the video was incorrect and the proper full list is in the description of the video.
Thanks for pushing this comment up dude, I just wanted to say that in no way is this a criticism and I've always loved all of your in detail tutorial videos but I saw someone else's comment further down who had the same problem and just wanted to make another comment on the video for anyone else who was confused and having the same issue. ^_^

This has become my favorite build. I have now built it several times on several maps. It’s not the biggest build, but it just seems so efficient and I made some modifications and improvements with each build. Thank you!
If you mirror the storage/dino pen on the leftside, you could easily turn this into a "all-in-one" workshop. The left side can become a green house area. All you'd really need to do is rearrange the interior machines of the workshop area. Like placing it to the left of the Industrial Forge. Then you can put your Phiomia's in the dino pen area for quick poo access and make little pens for beetles. You should just barely be able to make five rows of 2 medium plots, to fill the greenhouse, and turn the stone and wood into greenhouse glass
That was an amazing build - I like the way you use different means in giving the outside of the building decoration, eg. flipped walls, stone railings along the edges and on roofs, using a mix of wood and stone in pillars instead of just stone or just wood - the overall effect is very stunning - tks for sharing and teaching the viewers how to build
This took a few hours for me to build, and a bit longer because I was on PC and the flying in creative mode runs at light speed. Still, pleased with how it turned out, and as always, really enjoy your builds!
For anyone who cant place a structure because it is obstructed needs to disable structure collision from the ark rules section at the bottom of the check list. Hope this helps :)
The workshop is beautiful and the attention to detail is amazing, but what I really love about this video is that it actually teachs you how to build. I dont know if I will build the workshop in the vid, but I am going to apply these techniques to make my own builds alot better. Thanks for an informative video and an awesome structure!
As someone who loves her structures being both pretty and practical, this is a /genius/ design for a workshop, and I'll def be using this for my tribe's next one.
Your videos have definitely helped me in learning how to build better bases/workshops. Before i found your videos recently, I'd just throw something together and call it a day.. but was never happy with how it looked hahah. This is a great build and I just want to say I’ve built it twice now, and the second time I built it on fjurdor and when I finished I was really happy and I saved and exited and now my save is completely gone, took me a total of 3-4 hours to build it all plus some other structures

this made me decide to try out creative mode I built your starter house in survival mode and it was a lot of farming, great house btw. I love the functionality of not having my mortar and pestal behind my bed next to my campfire difficult to access lol

If your on the Island, I think I found a location this design could fit. But it's a wooded area. Central Southern Island, has an eye in it so to speak. On the west side of it there is a jungle / wood area. There are also 2 explorer notes. Near one of them is a clearing. It has a couple rocks in the middle of it. I built a nice 2 story building with room to expand in several directions. It feels flat enough to build something a lot bigger. In fact your area is 11 x 16. What I built is almost the same size width wise with plenty of area around it.

2023 and I still love this build have done it many times and still got it on mi mobile ark game as main base, well not same but very close just the roof because of high nerf and door instead of dino gate but still you can do it in mobile to, thank so much for this awesome build wish you do some mobile ark to but understand 😀 👍
Aaron can you build some TEK robot hanger? I just imagined a cutting edge tek robotic hanger where MEK stands middle of it as If it is a Jaeger from Pacific rim, couple of enforcers ready to roll out and 1~2 tek ATVs parked around the corner. I saw every single vedios on youtube but nobody built such a masterpiece yet.
It's alot harder to make these beautiful buildings in a server where you can't use GCM took me good 6 hrs to complete this when you have to look for the materials. Good work tho I love your builds and will continue on following
It has taken forever, gathering materials, dying a bit and losing a few dink’s but I finally built this, your large house with stables and the Rex pen with extended walks to surround all of it as well as a small greenhouse in the same are you are building this on ragnarok. Thank you for the amazing builds and tutorials. Your vids are one of a kind
I usually either build a small cluster of about 2 to 5 buildings or an all in one building - home, storage, crafting, farming and launch pad for any avian dino
I love this build so much. Getting ready to build it and realized that the materials needed section at the beginning of the video isn't very accurate. Some things were listed twice with different amounts and sloped stone ceilings aren't anywhere :( Either way, I can build this, but it's nice to get all the materials beforehand so I don't have to keep getting sidetracked. Sorry if this comes off as rude, but it would be nice for the beginning to be accurate (unless i'm completely missing something...)!!

Aaron Longstaff Thanks for response! I didn’t even think to check there, but now i know for the future haha. You should totally put a note under the materials in the video that the materials, controls etc are listed in the description as well! I always assumed I had to rewind every time I was confused. Looks like a couple people in the comments mentioned the same thing (i tried to look before commenting, but didn’t see anything until after) so maybe it can save you the headache.
It looks great! But I am an advocate for efficiency. I feel a desire to turn those "empty" 1x1 pockets into something I can use, and the roof, a lot of space there. Something tells me the item count still isn't right, because I'm 90% sure I built all the pieces needed and I still came up short on a few items, as well as having remnants.
I know you probably won’t see this, but you know how when your in a dinos inventory, and you can force feed the dinos bye pressing e in your keyboard(No idea for console) and it feeds the meat or berries to the Dino, if you have a water skin, water jar, or canteen in the inventory of a crop plot and press e it “feeds” it the water and irrigates them, you need to do this constantly though so your crops are always irrigated, hope you see this and hope it helps.
I have a suggestion; a pen for Apexes (Rexes, Spinos, Gigas - Basically Large OP Dinos). You’ve already built a Rex Pen, but I’d like to see a newer, fresher version that can also house other, larger, Apexes.
i limit myself to one Aaron build a day, but i do build them, i did the Jurassic Park Raptor pen yesterday, and did this today, both turned out great and my friends love them, so much detail and they are beautiful builds, You think you could do one for the Jurassic World Raptor Pen?
Me and my tribemate just built this and we love the practicality! The only thing I have to say is that to reach the top vaults you have to jump and sometimes even jumping doesn’t work. Does anyone have a solution for this?
Wayyyyyyyyy late but wanted to leave a comment any case some recent has the same issue. Ladders on one the pillars might work or a table to jump slightly spaced from the vault

I can't seem to get the wooden fence foundation to place down into the stone foundation like that, any tips on how to get it down into the stone foundation like that?
Just finished the Nordic black shop build on the new map. I'm laying out foundations for this in game and want to follow through with the Nordic style roofing. Any tips I've not tried it on a building this large. Would it be a similar to what did on the Nordic hall?

Hey Aaron I'm in the middle of building this workshop with your tutorial. One problem I had was that it wouldn't let me place the generator. I had to remove the walls on the right and left first to be able to place it, and then place the walls again afterwards. One question: I am building in a very populated area on lost island. Every now and then there's a t-rex coming my way. I have my tames to defeat it no problem, but they always manage to break some of the wooden structures when they attack. What's the best way to keep the building safe from predators? I normally only build with stone or metal.
Aaron you're a genius but this build was so frustrating. I collect and build all materials (not spawn) there was so much missing 😕 sloped roofs, stone railings, corner walls etc etc and I'm left with window frames, greenhouse windows and wood railings that were never needed 🤔
I must apologise I have looked at the video and the second set of materials are from the previous video (not sure what happened with the editing software) I always put the list of materials in the description of the video also and this is always accurate. I know this does not help you now but if you do any more builds I would read the description and use the list of materials in there sorry!

Quick question before I start, do I have to have the machines like the indie forge for this build or can I add them afterwards? Like are they just for the interior design?
