How to Build an Easy Working Elevator in Minecraft! (No Mods) 

Tip: Do this on the top and bottom, add a button at the top wired to the piston at the at the bottom and add a button that is wired to the piston at the top. Now you also have a working call button that brings the elevator down!

For those playing on xbox now you cant use blocks of obsidian with slime blocks or they wont move so you will need to use respawn anchors

This is great for the adventure world I'm making for my friends/family; haunted asylum type thing (big building). One thing I will say, though: next time get us to place the top obsidian BEFORE I have to go chasing my elevator 😅 seeing it take off to the sky was a fright and a half! Thankfully the build was only a tad bigger than the space I'd set aside for the elevator so this was really a great find for me personally.

I'm playing in Java 1.19 and this elevator builds breaks when I get to the observer loop. Instead of sending the whole build to the point I placed the obsidian, the build breaks in half with only a block of space in-between the pistons. I'm not sure what caused this.

Thank you so much for this although I did stuff it up by placing something else and not obsidian at the top pulling it down to the bottom and then making it not go up but after I fixed my error it all seems to be working

was trying to do this in a cave so you could come up, he didn't specify that it would go up forever previously so it got stuck on the ceiling and broke. should've told us before doing that :/

hi i´m a massive lover of your redstone contraptions i have pranked my friends about 15 times with your machines I have just built the elevator and it is much easier to get from my living room to my bedroom yet again love you contraptions

Can you send the elevator down as well when your at the bottom when the elevator is up by the next floor and can you make it stop at each floor when you have more then one floor. Thanks for all your awesome videos it inspires me alot

this doesn't work somehow...I used this on java 1.16.5 and followed the each steps but after activating the two observers it all of it doesn't launch straight up...how and why?
