A nice spiral bit will eliminate the tear out. Whiteside makes one long enough to do it in one pass. Totally worth the money!

On the last cut you can use a bit with the bearing on the other end and flip the body over. That is the way I do it and it works pretty well.

Same here.

A double bearing bit and flipping the body when approaching areas where you cut uphill would be the best way to prevent tearouts. .

You mentioned that you love the tape used to secure the template to the guitar blank, but didn’t say what kind of tape it is.

You said you blade was a half degree off. Was that on purpose? I have my blade straight at 90 but no planer, I blow it out then clean with acetone. Would that still give me a good bond?

I'd worry about the sharpie bleeding into the wood.

What are the specs on those two router bits?

Very cool! Thanks for sharing!! Couple questions, what wood are you using and what speed is your router it? I am using a compression spiral bit in my table router at about 14.5k rpm and it works pretty good but sometimes grabs the body and chewed it up pretty bad. Nothing a little wood filler can’t fix but still not part is the plan. Any thoughts?

Why cut it with the band saw first? Why not go straight to router?
@JonHawaii2003

You would ruin the bit in a matter of seconds. You want the least material to cut.

@@JonHawaii2003 Ok. Just that I've seen guitar builders on YT cutting out the body shape with just a router

Would you consider using an additional camera for better close ups shots. And feel free to lapse some of the footage to maintain interest as well as delete all the unnecessary stuff that you do.
