You know... While I still miss Grant, I'm really getting used to our new host here... Great job on this project! I'd love to see a Q&A soon to help us feel a bit more connected with this change...
"If you don't have a styroslicer"... Me "oh no" 4 hours later "ok I've got the styroslicer" Un pauses video "...most of what we're doing can be done with a razor blade" Me "uhhh"

I kind of got away from this channel when it was click baity explosion videos but Nate has definitely brought some fresh energy and awesome videos to this channel again!
Guys, I don't care if nate is a permanent fixture at the tkor team. I have been a proud subscriber for years!!! He explains things with such detail. That doesn't mean I like grant less, but am glad nate is here helping him. Good job, Nate.
Window tint isn't rated on how much light it blocks, but how much it allows to shine through. 50% is a lighter shade vs 35%. The darker the film, the lower the number.
The window tint seems to work quite well; officially an infinity mirror uses the "one-way" glass like the kind used in interrogation rooms. What the difference is, I don't know.
Exactly and it seems like a lot of people think it's that way lmao, I've got double 5% on my car with 15% on the windshield and from the outside its pitch Black, but some people think that it's the other way around so it should basically be clear 😂
This is one of the best I have seen from Nate. He goes in so much detail, explaining everything he does whilst making it easy to understand. Plus, I think it looks really good. Well done Nate!
My literal OCD demands that you go back and extend the brick work to at least the sides of your castle. Otherwise this project looks really nice and great way to kill a rainy afternoon.Thumbs up, Nate!!!!
Enlighted Gaming Where is the person named Grant? The word used for asking the location of an object and/or person (in this case person) of a human given the name of Grant. ******GRANT WHERE******
Funny you should mention this. A coworker left a really funny message on my office whiteboard last week in the shape of the fight club movie logo / soap. A little bit of work and I replicated the fight club logo in photoshop using what he put on the soap (In place of "FIGHT CLUB") and printed, transferred on foam, then covered with proto putty. A few days later he found some bars of soap in his office....
Nice build, but I have some constructive notes. 1) Before cutting the hold slots for the mirror and glass, you can really change the reflection angle by adjusting both the position and angle of the two. 2) As I mentioned in a previous message, don't use Styrofoam for the squeegee. A credit/debit card works just as well and doesn't make the mess or noise. 3) If you're going to put that much work into the outer, it'd be good to invest that much on the paint too. 4) You can also use a pen to make stone grooves and other details. A pen head is nice too as it's smaller and allows for more detailed work. 5) Use a balled up wad of tin foil to go in and press down on the surface of the stone. This will give the surface some nice texture to it. 6) I recommend doing a "flat black" paint job first to add a nice dark coat underneath. Since it's Styrofoam, it should be painted on and not spray painted (unless you seal your Styrofoam) as most spray paint will cause your foam to "melt". 7) For painting, I highly recommend checking out Black Magic Craft's RU-vid channel. He does a lot of work with Styrofoam and has some great easy and affordable tips on how to paint them. 8) Once painting is all done, blackwash it to make everything really pop. It's easier to do, cheaper, and is something more people will have access to versus an air brush. 9) It would be worth detailing and painting both sides of the Styrofoam where it will be visible. The end product looks nice, but the plain white Styrofoam can be seen in the reflection of the mirror. Putting in the time there will make sure that you'll have an amazing looking project at the end. Again, great job and thanks for sharing this! I've been meaning to make one for my desk with a usb plug in light that will plug right in to my monitor.
In england theres this place called blackpool pleasure beach and theres one of these in the mirror maze. Its pointed directly down and goes like 3 ft before the mirror.
Get an acrylic mirror, and carefully remove the paint on the backside of the mirror with aceton (rub with a light touch and be fast). You made yourself a surface mirror. Now use that with the mirror part facing the other mirror instead of the tint.
Isaac Chen Nitrocellulose LEGOs were made by Grant by melting nitrocellulose ping pong balls using acetone. Acetone dissolves nitrocellulose into a goop and allows it to be recast. Heck, he did a whole video on it explaining his idea was making a nitro coating
probably gonna get washed down this *sea of comments* its no biggie tho I don't mind but anyway great video you know that's gonna take *hours* to clean up :3
