Great tutorial with a simple set of steps. Have a query , if you want to place a filter , where exactly do you plug this in ? Say you want to query up where Item = 'Apple' ? I tried plugging in a .startAt('') in the provider, but could not resolve it :-(
Hi Simon. My question to you is: How would you implement an update button or a pull-to-refresh feature with this async pipe? For example, if a user is not online at the time of opening the app and then establishes a connection,I would want the data to be displayed without them having to start the app. How would I go about doing this?
for those who are getting the FirebaseListObservable error, see the upgrade docs of angularfire2 in the link above github.com/angular/angularfire2/blob/master/docs/version-5-upgrade.md
Hi Simon, I am new to Ionic. I followed your steps but I am getting an error message "runtime error uncaught (in promise): error: no provider for angularfiredatabase". I have posted the error on ionic forum forum.ionicframework.com/t/runtime-error-uncaught-in-promise-error-no-provider-for-angularfiredatabase-injectionerror/95160 Please help me out with this. Why am I getting the error?
i found out what's causing this. the autogenerated provider might have named the class to something other than FirebaseService, check class name on the firebase.ts file.
