This is the Yawn Yawnson video I was looking for! It's not all about the artifacts combo. I just want to turn my Rakdos Kalain, Reclusive Painter treasure deck into a Mardu one so I can use the synergistic white cards.

Yeah double down on treasures and pingers like reckless fireweaver and add some when creature dies u draw a card. Turns into a rly nifty sac/recur/burn deck

I did a sia master thopterist deck that would tap the thopters to make massive ammounts of mana now. Theres a comander that has more colors and combo potential this is sweet

I love my Jansen deck. Run the 0 cost artifact creatures so you can get free treasures.

Can confirm after playing him for almost a year. It's very hard not to end up with accidental infinites. The trick I learned is to avoid anything that can repeatedly untap Jan in a single turn. No running Liquimetal Torque to turn him into an artifact for "Untap Artifact" effects, no equipment that untaps him for mana or death triggers. Run ways to copy his ability and/or increae the tokens, stay away from any way to untap him more than once a turn. Combo-ing with Jan in those ways it too easy and gets boring. If the rest of the deck happens to combo off... eh, that's okay.

@@AshenHawk96good advice thank you, I have an arena Jan deck that doesn’t go infinite but can still win through really strong turns with value. I’m not interested in infinites because I believe it will make the deck boring and you can play cards aren’t familiar with so it actually makes the game interesting

I would ask anyone out there who is running a Jan deck whether Mahadi actually does anything for them. It seems all right on paper, but since I can't be sacrificing artifact creatures to Jan every turn, I figured the efficacy would be way down. At 3 CMC he can probably be easily cut for a card that would actually swing a game for you. Scrap Trawler is another one that seems good on paper but is actually extremely weak for Jan since 99% of the time you're going to be sacking a 0 CMC token so the Trawler won't actually do anything. It is effectively a worse version of Myr Retriever for a higher cost.

Ignored every single combo coz my breya deck does artifacts combo much better. This deck without combos has turned into one of my favourite to play decks just pure artifactocrats
