Hey what's up guys!
It's Mike with Sixpack Shortcuts and today we're going to be hitting Biceps! I've got a great Power Block Bicep Workout. So listen up, because using equipment for exercises just like this one will get you that much closer to the body of your dreams!
Workout Breakdown:
0:20 Today's objective: To put a lot of size on your arms without using any machines or cables!
5 Exercises / 6 - 8 Reps / 3 Sets / Minimum Rest Time - 30 Seconds Max
0:48 1) Standing Curl (both arms)
- This will be both arms at the same time
0:53 2) Concentration Curl
- Sitting, doing one arm at a time with your arm braced inside your leg
0:56 3) Inclined Curl
- Sitting back on an incline bench, curling one arm at a time
1:02 4) Reverse Incline Curl (both arms)
- Chest facing the bench so that your inclined the other way and curling one arm at a time
0:09 5) Hammer Curl
- You can either bring it straight up to your shoulder, or bring it up across your body to the opposite shoulder.
You ready? Grab your dumbbells and let's go!
Video Breakdown:
The Power Block set I'm using today goes up to 90lbs, but I don't think that I'll be using all that today!
1:53 Tip:
- If you're going to be doing 6 - 8 reps but are able to get in a couple more, that's ok.
- Just get in those few extra that you're able to do and up your weight on the next set.
- You to be at almost failure by your 6 - 8th rep.
- Standing Curls
2:18 Set 1
2:59 Set 2 - remember not to rest for too long!
4:04 Set 3
**I've actually just started using Power Blocks and am building my gym at home using these!
- Concentration Curls
4:40 Set 1
6:18 Set 2
7:10 Set 3
- Inclined Curls
7:56 Set 1 - keep your palms open to stimulate more of your bicep
8:51 Set 2
8:58 Set 3
9:10 Let's change up the weight to make it lighter for the next exercise.

- Reverse Incline Curls
9:20 Set 1
10:16 Set 2
10:46 Set 3
10:57 Let's change the weight one more time for our last one: hammer curls.
- Hammer Curls
11:08 Set 1
11:42 Set 2
11:55 Set 3

The heaviest weight of dumbbells I have at home are 25 pounds could I still get good results with this or should I buy higher weights??

You my friend are definitely the person to train with. I have been doing different exercises for years on the biceps but not too many so have been working just 1 or 2 part of the muscle. I do not have power blocks so will possibly try this with either Hex or dumbbell weights.

Hey, there, Mike! Just wanted to say that you are my biggest motivation right now and for pumping out these videos regularly in hopes of this little lady to get swole, haha. And I'm really loving it that you're now providing these mass building home workouts, they are what get me pumped for my workouts now, thanks so much for sharing! Great work out tomorrow, just in time. Tomorrow is arm day for me. Your vides have been an inspiration and I have been applying the principals and adjusting the for my age. I am now doing squat thrusts, 3 sets of 10. When I started I could barely do 3. Next goal is to turn them in to Burpees. At 61 I say frack limits and those who say you are too old for this. Limits exist in your mind and I plan to keep working out until I am 120! One more thing - IGNORE YOUR CRITICS! The proof is on the video, Mike's physique rocks!

Forgot all the negative., Mike you've built a impressive physique that I'm striving for one day, I've learned about Reverse Incline Curls which will be added to my workout. Why are all these people hating? Cause you've made a successful career. Who cares if your making money on ads, workout programs, supplements and product placement aka using powerblocks. Can somebody please tell me why everyone dislikes Mike as a trainer, like I'm new and from my standpoint he seems to be alot of help. Please I'm not hating I just legitimately want to know why he is so disliked among the fitness community. What Kevin said. A mass majority of SixPackShrortcuts followers are at a Beginner stage in the fitness world. Hes a sell out, and spams the internet with his snake-oil-esc advertising. People who are really into the lifestyle follow more authentic channels like PhysiquesofGreatness, Tigerfitness, TwinMuscleWorkout (even though they slowed down their production alot), Bios3training, Strengthcamp, Mike Rashid, and thats just what i can think of off the top of my head.

Mike! I'm a huge fan. Can you post a video about calf training? Specifically the gastrocnemius and soleus muscles? I seen your recent leg training video, and you did seated calf raises at the end, but nothing for you Gastroc muscles, just your soleus. A lot of people neglect their calves in the gym, so i think we need some pointers. thanks!

In my opinion this workout is top notch. I'm a beginner gym-goer and this workout has added a lot of mass to my biceps. I didn't stick quite to the routine though. Those reverse incline curls were far too hard for me so I swapped them out for 8 sets of EZ-Curl Bar curls, inner and outer curls. Maybe this workout sucks, but for me it was amazing and I would highly recommend it to any beginner trying to get big biceps fast.

Great post. Thanks for going over basics relating rest time to intensity and building muscle to the number of reps performed during each set. This was a demonstration for building the biceps. Did you do any other exercises that day or was that it? That was 15 sets and about 30 minutes workth of working out. Another body part would make it a full hour or near there. Jim Matthews

Mike, I'm 14 and I've been doing everything that you have been doing in your six pack belly fat videos and I've been seeing amazing results but now I've fell way behind on my back, shoulders, chest and biceps. I don't have much to work with. All I have is two 10 pound weights. Do you have any suggestions for anything that would help build upper body muscle that doesn't need any big heavy dumbbells? You are awesome by the way.

Chinups and underhand barbell rows are what build the size. Curls are just an addition.

I am curious to opinions on how to break down your exercises throughout the week. Meaning Triceps and Biceps on monday for example.. chest an back on tuesday.. etc etc etc

You can easily replace the powerblocks with dumbbells for people who are working out at home and have only dumbbells. The incline curls you can do with just a chair, just slightly adjust your back to a slight incline and do them

Do you have any tips being i don't have a bench to do Reverse Incline Curls? also i love the power blocks mine only go to 50 pounds right now. but looking into an upgrade, explanation pack. they are great for chest also to get that squeeze

i have always wondered if I can loose body fat by running/jogging, i havent tried it but my friends says thats a great way to burn fat i wonder if this is true it would be so helpful if you could answer this question! btw man i love your chanel ;)
