I set up our company's authority ( FMCSA, IFTA, UCR, BOC3, MC# etc...) It saved us thousands but most important is the knowledge and independence you gain. For example a Biennial MCS- 150 appears to be technical but it's just an update on your company's information on the FMCSA's site. Truckers will receive solicitations that complicate the process with technical jargon to intimidate. Working with the state agencies are the worst especially when rolling out a new computerized process. But I found the FMCSA the easiest to work with, just give them a call if you have questions. You will find even on government websites recommendations to third party out the application process. It's easier for the government to have private companies upload applications and updates via a back portal where thousands of files can be uploaded at once. You'll have to read though. I dropped the ball with establishing business credit but it's a work in progress now. We are working on SBA loans. Thanks for the information.
Man great information and quick, no other RU-vid channel puts it out like you do. Straight to the point and your teaching what we really need to know. That’s awesome
You forgot to list the five companies that you were using to report your D and be positive actions. You listed U line(that’s one that I plan on using anyway as I’ve already learned how this all works and I’m just looking for specific companies to shop around with)
Man your doing great work! STAY positive, information your giving us is GREAT. I really appreciate it. I'm driving now but realize I can do a lot more. Please keep making videos explaining how you did all this setting up your company. GOD bless you brother.
Great content.May you be blessed beyond measures for sharing this information. There are plenty of us out here that has a business mindset, hungry for that financial stability but just don't have the adequate funds to dish out paying someone to do this stuff for us when we could easily do it ourselves if we're hungry for it..THANK YOU AND PLEASE KEEP SHARING YOUR JOURNEY..
Heard of your channel through RVT, awesome journey. I'm trying to catch up on all your videos. I want to eventually own a fleet. Waiting on my LLC approval right now.

Question I know this post is 2 years old. But do I have to have my own authority before I start building my business credit. I think the answer is no. I just need the confirmation
A lot of good info about business credit I found on credit suite. Their director has a business credit podcast too his name is ty Crandall if you type in his name on the podcast app for iPhones it comes right up
When I contacted U line to set up my net 30 account that I had to have 5 to 7 transactions before they could set up a net 30 which is a credit line. That your mouth wind at 5 to 7 transactions at a $50 rate You're talking $300 per multiply that by 5 accounts now you're talkin $1,500 spent on things you don't need.
I appreciate you and all of the knowledge you share with us. My husband is in process of becoming an owner-operator and I will be running the business side of things for him, which includes finding his loads. I've learned a lot from you in just a short period of time and I'm grateful. I salute you!
Sekou D. Ansumana hey I was just strolling through the comments and saw your question I want to give you my perspective on it and I believe it's best to buy a good used truck for about 10-18 or 20 thousand dollars cash if you can I say that because unless you have connections it may be hard for you to get work in the beginning and the last thing you want is a truck payment coming around every month ontop of the truck insurance. That's what I did I saved for a few yrs and got a truck for $12,500 and it was and is a good solid truck but you have to know what you're looking for when you looking for trucks cs you can get a piece of shit truck for the same price so make sure you have knowledge on what to look for or have a good Diesel mechanic help you. Now that you have a truck it's an investment and nothing is cheap and trucks always need something that's just how it is but if things are too hard for you the beauty of owning the truck is that you can sell it if you need to, and that's how I looked at it like if it gets too bad I can sell it maybe get more or close to what I paid for it and go another route that's my whole thing making less overhead less bills less pressure cs you really wouldn't have to sell it you can just turn the tags in and cancel the insurance and do what you have to do in the meantime to get back on your feet and then get back to the truck. This is my opinion the best way to avoid the overhead pressure of a mandatory truck payment. Now as far as leasing you have alot of ppl who will lease you a truck and have steady work for you (to make sure they get their payments every month) which is not a bad idea considering that they take care of anything that may go wrong with the truck bc it's under warranty so that's a plus but my opinion on it is you don't get the feeling of owner operator freedom cs you're pressured to work or take loads that you really don't want to take and if something drastic happens you can't sell the truck bc it's not yours so everything that's you've invested into it you loose but you gain an experience and wisdom. I guess at the end of the day go with your heart and do whatever it takes to get where you want to be in life. I've been doing this for myself for a year now and I have no regrets at all!!!!!! Wish I would have done it sooner!!!! I hope this helps you
Oliver Johnson yeah I went through the used truck scenario u mentioned. I bought a truck that ran good “without” the trailer but soon as I hooked the reefer to it would run hot and I spent thousands of dollars trying to fix it and NO MECHANIC I ran into could figure it out. They was killing me with the labor fees and buying parts I didn’t need.So I had to sell it as is. And that was my first truck😡😡😡 I learned from that and now I’m ready to try it again. But good information bro.
Hey man, I have a DUNS number. But they wanted money from me to update my profile. Did that happen to you? I wouldn’t give a dime. My personal credit is good, but getting over loaded.
