Nice stalls! The girls look snug. My best respite from our times are videos with horses. Very recently watched a NY farmer rebuild stalls stalls for his draft horses. It took a long time, because he pulled a tree out of the woods with the horses, and sawed it into the the desired sizes. Love watching the self sufficient at work.
I found this channel via Ali's rockfin channel. I love what you guys are doing. Maybe Ali can do a segment, either here or there, addressing the many people who do not have huge economic resources but who want to leave their fascist cities for freer climes.
Is Sassy having laminatic issues or seedy toe? Mine have been through it. I've learned so much. I like flexible filly halter & muzzles and I haven't tried it yet, but I like the Forma Hoof USA mold & chemical. It's just pricey. I like Keratex Nail hole sterilizer , I think it's called for the lower part of the hoof wall as a dressing and the wall and white line areas for seedy toe. It's not for the frog. Things I've learned...
Lol I was going to ask about the hoof problem as well. Unfortunately locking them up shows down the healing process, much better to let them move. Used to rehab horses with hoof issues, my favorite thing to do. They need a better farrier that knows how to fix problems (unless it’s laminitis then the owner needs to make changes).
never heard of seedy toe - how can you tell the difference? my vet says laminitis but I am suspicious as her x-rays have been perfect and reveal no changes despite significant pain. she is doing well now! I am looking into the flexible filly! What is forma hoof used for?
