Hey Boone, Great videos! Can you do one on how you did your pulley system? My wife is getting tired of the slot car track taking up the dining room floor.
Thanks Jim... I will do a video on the table soon. I’m getting a lot of interest in my pulley system so I will put this on the top of my videos to do list... thank you for your input...
Hi Boone, Very good set of videos you've got going, truly appreciate them. Where did you source the coconut mat? In fact if you could leave source suggestions and or links in your description it would be helpful. Also on bending track: How would you recommend bending down? many thanks and keep up the great work! Regards, Jack
Thanks Jack. The coconut mat I was able to get at a plant nursery, you can also find it a a hardware store if the sell plants., and the same technique is used to bend the track the opposite direction..
I have a scalextric track I want to be able to run multiple cars on but not sure what I need for that can you help me out I have seen so many different systems
hi Paul, .... If you are running Scalextric , the I would go with the ARC Pro system. you can run up to 6 cars at a time and with the Magic App for the ARC Pro you can run multiple pace cars at the same time. now it is a digital control base and your cars will need to be chipped in order to work if you want to run three plus cars at the same time. it also has an analog setting so you can still use cars that have not been chipped . The track system is also the newer style , meaning sport and digital, you can use the classic track but you will need as adapter track to attach the newer style to it. with the digital system you will also need lane change track , at least one , that way you can switch lanes and overtake the other cars. I have found that if you are planing on investing the money to do this it will be easier on your wallet if you purchase a digital scalextric set. ( most bang for the buck ) . this way you can get the ARC Pro , and the needed track to start yourself off, plus you will get some cars that have been chipped, The other way is to find a used set online or in your local marketplace. the investment of purchasing everything new separate can be a spendy investment. The nice thing about the Scalextric system is that you can chip any 1/32 car your heart desires , and the skill needed to solder in a chip is very easy and straightforward, or you can purchase digital ready Scalextric cars and just plug in the proper chip. , Most of my track I was able to purchase used and it helped a lot as far as cost. I hope this helped and didn’t confuse you. Digital is a very cool way to go , and opens the door for many hours of enjoyment. Thank you again and thank you for watching my channel...... Boone
