Thanks, Reza. Have been looking for something like this for a while. Very helpful. In Form with a SharePoint data source I have an AssignedTo field that is a SharePoint person/Group field. In the form control, when I change the Items to only show members of an O365 Group, I can no longer get ThisItem.AssignedTo to display in the control when the field is already populated. Any idea what is happening there? Also, info on the same filtering for SharePoint permission groups would be helpful. Thank you.

Thanks! Structure would be different. If you want to make it easy, then option 4 (with form control) is easiest. If you want to choose option 3, then you would need to put it in a format that person column expects. Great video as always Reza! I have a question. Currently, I'm using a gallery that filters based on search criteria, as well as a combo box dropdown that filters by department. The issue I'm facing is that when I select a department from the combo box, it only returns 29 users of that department in the gallery. However, I know that there are 70 users in that department, and 700 internal users overall. I've set the "searchTerm" to 999, among other things. Do you have any idea what could be causing this? Thanks again for the great content! :)

Hi Reza - i hope you are doing well - quick query with regard to Multi Select Combo Box Person Type which is setup using 0365 connector and search via the text typed in Combo box. I'm facing issues when we are have bulk uplod data in the backend SharePoint list and then try to update the same via power app through patch - it gives me a network error - while troubleshooting it came to my attention that the values that were bulk uploaded are blank while patching for some reason and it gives me the error. Pretty close to what I needed. I tried to set up a People Picker Combo box to choose from a Group created in sharepoint list as described in the video (and based on some search results on Google). However, I didn't like that users had to type the person's name, and then I ran into a problem where only the people that were listed in the sharepoint list got vaildated results from that people picker. It was a required field, so every other user not in that sharepoint list received an error that they couldn't submit a record entry because it thought that field was blank. Kept saying that field was required even if not blank. I may move to create an Office 365 Group if I can figure out how to do it without having Office 365 Admin privileges. The behavior of the combo box seems to be more inline with what I want. I'm just afraid that users outside of that Group may still have an issue submitting records with the Power App. Currently the only solution I can think of is to turn off the required button for that column, but that may cause issues further down the line. Anyway, just something I'm working through at the moment.

Ah sorry, correction: collections do work but people columns don't seem to be people columns any more - the field selection panel does not allow you to configure people columns with picture, first and secondary field and searchable... Never mind. I put in a workaround in validation.. they can search for anyone in the list but if the selected user doesn't have the desired value selected in the multi choice lookup column, validation kicks in when you submit the form.. not great but it works 😅

@@RezaDorrani I built a CRUD app from an excel spreadsheet. It allows me to add a new record and review the contents of the table. I guess I need to associate that people picker result to the correct spot in excel

Hi Reza, I created a power app from SharePoint list. There is an user column in sharepoint list and this is converted as user picker in the power apps. I don't have any problem when I submit a new form. I can pick the people and submit. However, I am trying to show user picker result on one label and I couldn't find correct way to this. Can you please help me to do this?

Hi, if there is a user picker, why would that not show the value on form? Why do you need another label. I cannot help here on chat unless I have a video reference on it.

I have a combobox linked to a person column and I can only choose from 2 options. Myself, or all other users. How can I set it to show all users separately?
@RezaDorrani
@RezaDorrani 2 месяца назад
You need to search for users. It will not list all users.

TY for the quick reply. When I search the only option that will return are myself and everyone except external users. Its set to use Choices(ClaimPro.'Assigned To') @@RezaDorrani

I'm not sure why search wasnt working, but changing the code to this worked. We only have about 10 users so limits of 1k are no issue. Office365Users.SearchUser({searchTerm:"",top:999})@@RezaDorrani

Because this code is querying the office365users api and not the choices function

Can you use the Office235 Connector to only search for certain user in tenant within a specific department? Say all of HR?

Check documentation learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/office365users/#search-for-users-(v2) Department is not an option.

I hate this connector, i hate it. I would prefer to use AADuser table or any other method that could use either a service principal or does NOT require the app's userss to additional authenticate a connector
@RezaDorrani

Why dont you use the AADUser table then?
