Best RU-vid content I have ever watched about building in Zambia. I am going to recommend as many people as I can in diaspora for you because your content is quality.
Great tips there. Could you please also make a video outlining the process of land acquisition in Zambia, all the paper work involved and procedure if any. It would be really helpful
Can you please start with the plans and the step you need to go through ie drawing of plans, presentation to the Local Council and approval and provision of the approval number and finally presentation to the Planning Authority. It is very important that these parts are presented. I haven't seen anyone that has provided information on these stages and people get stuck. Further when you are building every stage must be approved by Council
Hey there, an architect is meant to do your drawings, submit them to the council and generally run with that whole process. If people get stuck it's because their trying to do a process they're not qualified to do. Engage a good architect and it shouldn't be hassle! But thanks for the suggestion, it may be worth doing a whole video on the architect's role in your building project
Hello Tash, can you also discuss how one can build on a sloppy lot. Topographic survey and why one would need one please. The difference between a wet room and shower and how best to plumb for a wet room(aka)walk in shower. Thank you ☺️
Your videos are very helpful Nastash. Circumstances have changed, planning to build in Zambia.keep up the good work and your humble nature. So Proud of you.
Fantastic work, enjoyed the video especially the presentation on construction stages....absolutely loved it. Need to connect with Itwi for my next project (double storey flat).
Thanks a lot, I've been thinking about building was planning to start this June but Covid came through with other plans. I've since gone back to the drawing board to do some new costing estimates but I'll probably have to go with a different design because certain things on the current plan are gonna have to just go because costs. But otherwise wonderful content. I'd like to see a video of the total cost of your project and generally looking at the money side of building, what should we look out for? Are there any potential pitfalls and just how you pulled the whole thing off 😁
Hey thanks so much for watching! There will be more videos coming for sure and I'm developing a tool that will help you budget your project. All the best with your project, it sounds like you're being very practical in terms of cost. Keep on keeping on 💪!
Great content. Just wondering, I noticed that most homes (generally speakingg) don't have central AC, is the cost to high or specialty not available to install one?
Thank you for your videos they are so helpful. I would like to know which contractors you used because from the pictures i was seeing they look professional. I also want to start building
Do it in stages. Be upfront with your contractor about your budget. Let them break down the costs for each stage and start with the little you can afford while you build up money to continue to the next stage
