Some things to take note of For replacing Height:" 0.2 Apple ObjectID 3a435337-9327-4973-84c9-1bff6500e437 Platform Object ID a0a4a12f-b6a4-4f0e-aa8d-47f7f3ca4bb1 Join the DA discord here! / discord
I wonder why they don't let us adjuist the height in the programm. If it is just a value in the script, there shouldn't be a problem to float some stuff around.
they probably dont ahve a good way to allows their automated tools to work with them well. That is my guess it would be easy to probably add in something like this and manally doing everything but theyn people will expect the AI to be able to populate different hights and what not, I think its a problem they can over come but i seems like not to hard
Couple of questions. First, if I have multiple rooms and I only want to raise one, how do I discern. The, you indicated finding the Apple ID. How did you do that? Lots of details that are just flat missing from your instructions. I will say it is impressive what you have done but it just needs more detail.
The reason things are missing is because like I said the video covers a lot of the "basics" like how to find the apple ID or the ID of an object in my first video, I didn't want to spend an additional 10 minutes going over what I already touched on I like to keep the tutorials short. That being said the only way of knowing what room is what is to build one room and raise/lower it then build your second room and raise/lower that one. There's no easier way of doing it other then looking for the default build height of 0.2
@@bobpayne2365 the first video merging objects, if you want to find an items ID you open a new blank map and place only the item on that map, then search "object" and then you'll find that items ID. I'm working on putting together a list of all the object IDs in a document to make it easier instead of creating a blank map with one object every time you want to find the ID for that object.
@@bobpayne2365 Hopefully this video going over the basics can clear up a lot of questions ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rRzBytyXY34.html
This is very cool, didn't know how this could be accomplished and being new to using Dungeon Alchemist editing the script isn't something I am aware of. I just wish there was a VTT that could let you run your games in the 3D this program produces.
@@frostipanda2737 FoundryVTT *can* do 3d maps. I'm not 100% sure if it is fully vanilla, as I know there are modules that do stuff with it. So it might be just enhanced with the module, or maybe fully created by the module. I'm unsure.
Fantasy Grounds has plans that will really elevate this software. I believe I heard the first feature will be to switch between overhead view and isometric view.
They have several VTT features in their roadmap, so you can expect to see fog of war and some other elements in the not to distant future. The next update is huge and comes out tomorrow. As it is now, you can share screen and use it as a limited VTT which allows you to do some of that and tomorrow they add Heroforge token support, so you can place miniatures and change camera to free or first person, to walk players through the map.
I had to go into my foundry and build invisible walls to keep my players from "jumping to their death" or going off the path of the stairs going up. Unfortunately the export won't do it for you.
raising and lowering the rooms should be a basic function given that it also costs 40 euros....and in any case I tried to myself the room doesn't make you raise 40 euros thrown down the toilet for the very program that is worth nothing
