How to Build the 8th TARDIS in MINECRAFT! PART 1

Hey everyone,
In this video, we begin to build the 8th Doctor’s TARDIS from Doctor Who in Vanilla Minecraft (no mods). This includes the exterior, and around half of the interior. Enjoy!

@@Creeperfan3000 Yeah I know, that's just because I used to have a 'recording voice' where I tried to sound much more excited and high pitched (and my mic was bad) but since then I've dropped it

It'd make it easier if you made it so we knew the dimensions just in case someone was trying to clear out a space to build for example 200 by 200 etc

Hey DT10, is the interior based off the dalek mod for the 8th's tardis? Also I then used mods to put interior and exterior together. (Immersive Portals)

It's partially based off of the dalek mod one, but I mostly just used videos and images of the actual TARDIS set from online :)

How do you go about designing these, and how do you remember how to do it when it comes time to make the video?

Good question. I design it by building the TARDIS in its entirety using concept images from Google and bits from the actual show (or in this case movie). I then take lots of screenshots of it and use them to create a second full copy that I used to build the one you see in the tutorial.

Hi sorry weird question haven't played minecraft in years and i currently have it on the xbox one so i was wondering how you enter this world of just white blocks then link the tarids to the normal minecraft world?

So, this is a customised superflat world. Superflat world's are on Xbox one edition, but in java you can choose the blocks you want it to be made of - in this case it's quartz. the TARDIS is linked to the exterior via a teleport command :)

For the exterior, put an invisible item frame on the roof with a tardis key item inside.

@@DT10 Have you seen the movie? The Doctor keeps a spare key on top of the police box sign. Just use an iron nugget for the key. Would actually look pretty accurate lol.

So, with regards to the world download: I will definitely be making one! I am going to make the war doctor's TARDIS first though, and release all the world downloads for my classic TARDISes at the same time.

@@GarethMcD-zq8ei I built this interior as I am doing all the TARDISes in a row so I didn't have much choice xD I probably would have done it anyway though, as it's an amazing TARDIS. And with regards to the old videos, yeah I sound much younger lol, although it's because I used to have a 'recording voice' where I tried to sound higher pitched and enthusiastic but I sort of gave up on that.

@@DT10 I do think that being "enthusiastic" for some youtubers has definitely worked out, but like if you got the content that people want, then most the time that makes up for the lack of "enthusiastic-ness". Honestly though had no idea you are doing them all just damn, good luck on the rest of them then!!

I still don't think this does the interior justice. The colors just feel a bit eh. And the console is just.. wrong. Still a 10/10

I did the best I could considering Minecraft has some pretty serious restrictions, both in terms of shape and colour. If you could give me any feedback of how I could have improved it, then that would be great!
