how to build the perfect ride the lightning for stw 160 missions in 2024 

I use metal in an ice storm with metal corrosion. My reasoning is that basic husks aren’t gonna be breaking in unless I suck. Elemental smasher will go through that brick like it wasn’t even there. If you are worried about basic husks breaking in then use wood or brick on the outermost layer.

Glad someone finally explained it and showed it also about trap directions, I myself never understood it until now since some other yt vids just said to do them kind of without showing or explaining it better.👑

I was under the impression that the muffler ran across the back of the ceiling drop trap so when you place your trap your right shoulder points in the direction the trap is going to push the husk when they fall. And thats how ive always placed my ceiling drop traps and its always seemed to work. Also for tunnels i typically place gas traps at the entrance so that the sploders dont throw their tanks before they get into the tunnels then ceiling electric fields deeper inside of the tunnels and then ceiling drop traps if i need to push husks in specific directions. Plus floor freezes direct husks after the initial freeze effect when they fall backwards. But im also a huge lover of broadsides.

Costs too much for me. I like to use Sub Zero Zenith to freeze smashers etc. I still trap my missions out but still a very informative video 🤙🏻

Where you put the wall darts on the objective to shoot through you couod also use sound walls because they work through builds as well

07:06 Brick in an ice storm with metal corrosion is terrible advice. Water husks in an ice storm do double damage to brick structures, and any water husk will do double its normal damage against brick structures, including smashers. Metal corrosion is a small percentage damage over time from huskies, assassin husks and basic husks, it is not caused by mist monsters. Never ever ever build in brick in a water storm, regardless of other modifiers. 14:05 If you use BASE Kyle in the lead, your tier 3 metal walls have over 18k health. This means they can easily withstand a charging smasher or two. Although Ice King will freeze the smasher on impact, the damage from the charge is dealt to the wall before the husk is frozen. It's also worth noting that each husk can only be frozen by Ice King's ability once every 15 seconds, so the smasher can charge, do significant damage to the wall, then recover and batter the wall again multiple times before being frozen again. If there is more than once smasher... Furthermore, minibosses are unaffected by Ice King's freeze effect, so if you get a smasher miniboss, your walls are going to get savaged. I do not recommend using Ice King in the lead if you are the only constructor in the mission. 18:10 Tar pits do still stop smashers charging.

Mental skills trap properly you don’t even know how tar pit trap works. Trapping efficiently is a lot different than spamming a lot of traps

Constructive criticism time ...Nice try, go look where the spawns are and husk pathing will become obvious. Trap tunnels can be far more efficient than this, you say the way the game is supposed to be played but ignore many factors like block off and trap tunnel mechanics. I would bet half of your traps didn't fire once.
