Dave thanks you for all the laughs you gave me after a long day. At the end I got a bit emotional even though this is not good bye forever. In the words of bill and Ted “ Be excellent to each other, and party on dude”. And for a while I’ll keep my pants on and maybe once in a while crack a dr. Pepper until the next time on displaying model behavior.
I'm getting nostalgic! I remember when I started watching you, so much of my life has changed and my collection has taken shape. I'm glad to tag along for the ride.
Dave, you really gave us a hell of a ride in the first phase, and I really can't wait to see what you bring in phase 2. Seriously, man, you entertain from start to finish, and you provided distraction and fun during the darkest days of the pandemic. Thanks, bro! 😊🤣👏
So for the Demogoblin I own, I want effect parts that give him flaming hands (akin to him using them to blast at Hobgoblin or Spidey). Are there any Hasbro ones that would do the trick or Tamashii?
I only started watching you fairly recently, but I just love the energy you bring. You're enthusiastic and love action figures, but also willing to take a step back and be critical. But all of that with a ton of wholesomeness. Whether it's watching you review a figure or leaving you on in the background (I'm glad you mentioned it, I'd have belt bad saying it otherwise 😅), I just love your content. Keep on displaying model behaviour, Dave. I hope the move to Japan is just as fun!
Hey good sir, if you want to meet up after heading to Japan to talk Marvel Legends sometime, hit me up. I think you'll be on the other side of Japan but you know. Hope the move goes well and always appreciate your content.
This was so damn good! Most people can't nail a season finale but you did it. You son of a biscuit! I cannot wait for next phase. Been down since day one! Safe travels and much success friend!!
That was awesome! Dave, thanks a lot for the content, it made my collecting real fun! Wish you good luck with moving and phase two and ofc looking forward to a new video!
Congrats on everything man, for real! I remember you messaging me asking to use some pics when you first started this thing. Have a safe trip and awesome new chapter in Japan and all! Looking forward to your journey there and thoughts on yesterdays money saving, disappointing Legends pre-orders!
I remember during lockdown I was about to meet up and buy some action figures that week and officially get into collecting. I looked up a couple figure reviews the night before and you popped up half way down the search results. Thank you Dave for getting me into this amazing hobby, you’ve never changed up one bit. Keep up the amazing work my friend - OgGuak420
Awesome. That pretty much sums it up. I found DDMB less than a year ago and was instantly hooked. Dave is upbeat, fun to watch and listen to and insanely connected to this community. I've not only made friends with other DDMB fans, but Dave himself, which honestly shocked the hell out of me. There aren't a lot of RU-vidrs out there, at least not ones with 30K+ subscribers that would take the time to respond to messages individually, especially my nonsensical ramblings. I can't wait to see what's next. Thanks, Dave.
Thank you David for these awesome videos. I always enjoy these. I like watching these as I gather my figures to build it along, or my variation of the display. The ending to this was phenomenal. I look forward to continuing this adventure with you. You have made this hobby so much more enjoyable. You have become the ONLY channel I watch for all things action figures. I am not saying the other channels are bad, I am just saying I found the best and there is no need to go anywhere else.
It's been a blast. This channel has kept me entertained from the start of the pandemic until today. All the best in your new adventures overseas. Look forward to the next phase 🙂
Dave. You making this channel more of a personal thing is what makes us always come back for your content and loving every bit of it❤ loved the outro! Here's to many more seasons of DMB🍻
As a fellow Brit, albeit Stateside, I have to mention that sentimentality is not an easily expressed emotion for us Limeys, but we get it... Congrats, Dave! "I BE LOVING YOUR CONTENT, MATE." -2Ts
Hey Dave! I just wanna say that Iv only been collecting marvel Legends for about a year and a half. But boy am I glad I did! I absolutely love marvel and action figures! Anyways I stumbled across your channel and I love it! You make the best videos and make me proud to be a collector. Thanks for the AWESOME videos and please for the love of god.. keep displaying model behavior lol
So going completely off topic, how do you actually leave your mezco figures on the shelves? I've played with the jason and the crow that I got a couple weeks ago more than any figure I've purchased in ever, in ever Dave. Theres just so much to do with them and they move so well and smooth. It really makes me want Atticus Doom that much more but he's so freaking expensive. Maybe one day, hopefully. But with or without him, I NEED MORE!!
“Can you imagine if they did that again.” 5:30 bro that shit had me dying! Hasbro should get hit on crotch on this one 😂so disappointing on how they been dealing with the legends. I just can’t wait to see your reaction on the new Spider-Man wave.
I was wondering if Prowler would make the list. He's not essential to a Spidey display, but the Into the Spiderverse Prowler will always be one of my fav figures
So, I've watched enough of your videos to recognise a terrible pattern in myself. I'll watch something like this and go "Huh, well, I guess I'll be saving money, because I have no desire to complete ALL of the Spider-Man roster." Then I'll end up haemorrhaging money on (to me) obscure characters I've never read in comic form, going after Puma, Red Guardian, Ursa Major, Sunfire, etc. I think I've probably got as many characters I knew nothing about prior as I do ones I got because I've always liked them. Oh well, who needs money for things like food or heating? Cheers Dave, love the channel!
Keep going dave your positivity has really been a shining light in this community, looking forward to this new chapter in your journey and remember keep displaying model behaviour
I can't believe that so much time has flown by. I also have a resolution that maybe I will not buy figures (although I doubt if I will be able to resist XD) but I will follow it all as it develops or stands still and dark times have come. I hope you will stay on this youtube and in this community as long as possible and if I will also stay and we will sit in this pit all the way to the end of our days XD Ya know I could talk a lot about my ideal ML display, but I will try not to write too much. Each person is more or less important. A quick example of Shriek is cool for me, for you not because you have more attachment to this character. In turn, mysterio, you like the burgundy color of this cape and it hurts me how much it doesn't suit me on this character XD. Characters that should be on the ULTIMATE spider-man display IMO and if it comes to The most known and essential villains I'm still waiting for: Green goblin and Hobgoblin still need a better figure because they deserve more, especially GG. More movable, more accessories. No GG has come close to this since toybiz same with hogboblin again. They deserved releases like the new Venom with 3pack and now the octopus with wires in the tentacles Mysterio retro almost perfect just not this cape. But also maybe more smoke effects, etc. and also a cloth cape would be something interesting, only it would get dusty faster XD Vulture with better carving those stripes and brighter green and maybe make better wings. And it's also a Pizza Spidey bodymold so it'll be a bit of a stress if it breaks. chameleon, or the one in the bathrobe or from The animated series. or maybe in a suit but let them give him something new like a rose. and a new classic morbius because that one is too old and the one from the 90s is not a classic you know XD Still have to get: Retro Kingpin, Kraven from 2pack, Jackal from sandman wave, and beetle, Less known spidey villains: Classic Jack'o lantern, tombstone in suit, Stegron, Swarm, Vermin, Man Wolf, Spot, Molten man, Doppelganger, Carrion, silvermane, Grizzly, Tinkerer, Spider slayer 1/2, Cardiac, Alistair Smythe, etc and more gangsters: Crime master, Sin Eater, Big man, Enforcers, Ooooh man or in short: equal 100 spider-man villains, his allies, alternate versions and his different costumes over the years like: Bag man, Symbiote, Iron Spider, Spider-Armor mk 1 etc and ones we've got Morlun is one of the newer opponents, and the truth is that he managed to get under the skin of spider-man so much. In alternate versions, he almost always killed him. In the first clash, Spidey thought he was going to die. As you know in the world of 616, he killed him. He also participated big in this spiderverse event in the comics. white rabbit, frog man such a funny villains, tarantula, Rose, Prowler, Mr Negative. It's a bit pointless to say almost the same thing but an update is necessary so I wanted to show off XD
Hey dave! After seeing this video... I want to ask... What did you to all of the figures? Since you're now in asia... Because i can't imagine a comically large bag full of marvel legends inside at the airport...
Dude. I just discovered your channel and it is fantastic. I just got back into collecting after almost 15 years and your videos have helped me to get to know the figures i missed. Thanks dude and greetings from Mexico City.
Probably because his name is Otto and he was raised by German parents who probably spoke with strong German accents. And hey it differentiates him from other characters.
@@DisplayingModelBehaviour See I usually depend on you guys to inform us on these things and no one has maybe it would have gotten more support if you RU-vidr's inform the rest of the community?
@DisplayingModelBehaviour OH wow I had no idea. I think they should own their property and make a statement that they do not condone such groups using it rather than distance themselves from it. What if these groups start using the X-men symbol? Would Marvel distance themselves from that?
Hi. So, I think I need some advice please :) I have no eyesight, I'm totally blind. Hence, my love of big 7/8' figures with lots of sculpted detail like the huge 14.5' legends Hulk, the DST hulks, thing, Juggernaut etc etc. Now Spidy, is an interesting one. I've been tryign to get a spidy for many years with a textured suit. That is to say, a suit like from the 2000 movies with lines and webs all over it, as many statues and toys are just plane smooth with not much to the costume. I was wondering, with your vast knowledge of figures, whether you could recommend something? I really want something around the 10/12 inch mark. I know Toybiz did an 18' spidy, but that is hard to get hold of and perhaps just a bit too big. although, if the only option, I'll get it. Cheers for any help you can give. OH and BTW, I still have my suction cup Toybiz spidy with rubber web somewhere, loved that thing as a kid :)
I know it's smaller than the scale you're looking for... But marvel select has a spider man on the 7 inches scale with webs that are like. Sunken down in the suit. May not be what you're looking for but it's an option
Thanks, that sounds interesting. DST generally does good sculpts, I'll check it out. I was always disappointed that the marvel legends 12 inch one didn't have sculpted detail on the suit. as I understand it, it's all smooth.
@@ednunpourtahmasbi605 from what I know. Marvel legends 12 inches spider man is just pizza Spidey upscaled. And now I realize that it's a shame that every 12 inches line puts cloth material on their figures and there's not one with sculpted details
Aww, I broke you LOL. The 12' scale Hulk from Legends is absolutely incredible so maybe it makes up for it. TBH I think actual cloth would be fine. The problem is plastic sculpted smooth cloth which just feels like... smooth plastic LOL. Gotta find the 18' toy biz spidy from spiderman 2.
You reignited my toy collecting a few years ago and I have you to thank for the joy and blame for the massive loss in money. In all seriousness, you're a great guy and I appreciate what you do.
Man, I gotta admit that the post credit video montage was so well done that it got me right in the feels. (I'm gonna miss Piglet 🥲) Not to mention that you absolutely fucking nailed that recreation of the final scene in the last episode of Star Trek TNG, it was just Absolutely Brilliant! 👏👏👏 Dave, what a phenomenal journey this has been, and I can not wait for phase 2 of DMB. Thank you for all that you have done, and congratulations on all your achievements. I wish you well, my friend. Safe travels 🇯🇵 and until then ... keep displaying model behavior! 🏴
