Lee is a beautiful human that deserves more positive feelings from his friends. He has what is considered the finest stick book collection in Queensland. I heard he once saved a duckling by helping it across the road. It’s said he can turn XXXX into actual beer just by holding the can.

I have not seen chalk on the floor blueprinting in a long time. What a great visual aid for a quick teaching lesson for a young person. And everyone thought a garage flood was just meant to be swept up.

I have a tube mandrel/bender, it’s a JD squared model 3, similar to yours being ratchet system, but is only £700 for the machine and die sets around £300, made all my roll cage out of mine, did a few for mates, paid for itself in no time, quality things to have

Engine hoist and a nylon strap will hold that tire in place with no worries on falling. That thing is really coming along awesome. Best bumper ever.

Great episode. When I had the fab workshop, there is no better way to ensure your fab job is true and square than by marking it out on a flat bit of concrete.

Anyone who had ever seen a riggers or patternmakers drawing loft in something like a shipyard with drawings the size of half a football pitch will tell it's something that CAD can never satisfy , but that progress . Great show as usual

I'm a big fan of steel plate for making up bumpers, no real special tools or technical cad needed and pretty easy match aftermarket finish level in a home shop . Bending tube up is PITA get dimensions/fit right both sides and ends and infill becomes messy . Interesting see how blends after powder coating, expect will make big difference .

I really appreciate you explaining the bending process. This thing is sweet. It's very unfortunate that you can't import them into the states because I really like how the chassis is built with those axles.

Nice bar, seen some carriers that have a strut back to the door, unlatch wheel, open door and whole lot swings as one. Will have to hit up my brother(fabricator) for a bar like this.

Slight suggestion... Maybe add a latch to the door itself; linked to the lower latch so only one handle part needed. You don't want it taking mush of the weight, but having the door help to hold it vertical and stop any weird flexing that'd fatigue the pivot pin.

Not sure about a s4 gu patrol but on the s1 gu those rear lights worked as tail lights at night but only the left one worked as a reverse light. The ones on the stock bumper were tail, brake and indicators.

Hey Woody, for the NT have you got some bash plates yet? If you aren't going to be making your own then there's a guy down in VIC I'd recommend. Boos bash plates. He has heaps of stuff for them. Even if you just look at them to see where theirs bolt up and then copy the mounting locations. Just a thought. Can't wait to see it!

Many a successful old racing car was built using the chalk on the floor method. I was half expecting a flash cantilever frame for the spare tyre so you could just glide from the storage position to the ground ;-)
