@@manialbert6560 I always patch with Toxic's DL Patcher.

Try another version. USA version or Europe version. My PS2 only can play usa version games.

@@suhartisuhartii1464 My ps2 can run games from all regions. As for dvd9 games, better to play them via flash drive or HDD.

Buy a DVD+r dl on a retailer or online instead of 4.7 or lower disc. If you have a game 4 gb or lower use your disc no need patch (modchip)

That's right Silent hill Origins is a DVD5 Disc not (DVD9 DL) You should burn the iso file on a DVD-R 4.7GB You shall not to patch the game.

The game isn't a Dual Layer disc that means you have to use a 4.7 GB Disc instead of 8.5 GB disc

@@ahawksjawbc2464 if your game is over 4GB you have to use DVD9 But.. If it's 4 GB or less than 4 GB just burn it on a normal DVD5

I usually use x4 speed and it works like a charm

@@franciemcfrances9979 I've just burned Gran Turismo 4 at x4 and it booted, but when it comes the intro film, the screen remains black forever... It fully works on emulator, and my other ps2 games still work on my ps2.

@@AntoniusTertius Make sure the disc is empty and not scratched. And make sure it burns fully on the disc. If not working, you might try different program to burn it with. Also, try 8x for burning ! It might works fine too. Thats one disc, try it with another PS2 and see if it works !

@@AntoniusTertius yes what momo said was correct, make sure the disc is in good condition and fully empty, if it is and it's still not working, give the X8 a try

@@franciemcfrances9979 I burned Xenosage I, Rogue Galaxy and MGS 2 Substance and I get to the main menus and I can even play some parts, BUT EVERYTIME a cutscene is about to begin, a black screen appears and remains forever. I burned at x4,8, it is better at x4. The cutscenes are the problem. All other ps2 games still work on my ps2, and my console runs DVD9 films with no problems, and all those dual layer ps2 games I burned perfectly work on my pc on emulator.
