How to Bushcraft an All Natural Survival Container!

Here is a great way to practice your bushcraft skills and make a very unique and beautiful container for your outdoor activities. This would also be great in a survival situation as a portable container for nuts, berries or other wild edible that you wish to store in your shelter. This step by step tutorial will give you all the necessary steps and details that you need to craft your own all natural container should you wish to do so.

Making containers was a skill that occupied entire tribes and communities in ancient times. However, many of those containers took a lot of time and training to make. Using this method, you can quickly make a container using basic hand tools that can easily be carried in a tool roll and packed with you into the backcountry. That's really cool James. I don't think people realize today with all our convieneces. How much time was devoted to surviving in the frontier. I was a very avid deer hunter back in the 80s and I learned to process my own deer on advice from and old time butcher. I wouldn't waste any of my venison and even had the hides tanned professionally.

I live in South Africa in a place called the Cedarberg. Used to be hundreds of thousands of cedar trees. They got chopped down for telephone poles and are now almost extinct except the odd scrubby tree at very high elevations.

Really good woodworking/bushcraft skills. I think someone/anyone new to this could do it if they took it slow. (after learning the previous survival glue recipe video ). The whole waterproofing process was fascinating. I hope all is well with you and family.

Not sure what you mean. There's no lead in the container. The container is made of wood and the glue is made from charcoal, pine pitch and deer droppings.
