Very impressive ! I ran a very similar model in LA w around 30 cars . Subscription model is the best ! Once you hit the kill switch one time the rental is over you can never turn it back on the renters never get better. A good way to get the spare key is after hitting the kill switch say you are sending a mobile mechanic to check out the car and they should just leave the key in it . I have a friend that shows up w a tool box texts me when to enable the car and then speeds off
That's a pretty good way to get the key back but usually I just take it out of their deposit or charge them for replacement. If the runner fails to cooperate and does not leave the key in the car what is another strategy to getting the key? Here in Chicago people are not very cooperative and it's dangerous in certain places so I typically shut the car off in a public area away from their residence. I like getting non transponder key vehicles because if I'm unable to get the spare key from them then I can replace a non chip key for $5 at a local hardware store and charge bad renter $150
This is a masterclass. I've been doing a lot of research for few months and this is one of the most informative pieces I've seen. I've also noticed that a lot of the top hosts don't pretend customer service, they genuinely care and respect the clients and y'all's relationship and build on it. But also firm with the business boundaries.
