I had a problem with the domain. It was suspended due to a claim for a scam. But it was just an informational one page site of a company. As I sent a request for the reason of it I've got requirements to provide a proof of incorporation for the business and to state the purpose of registering a domain name. This info was never shown in the process of buying a domain. And I still do not know a full set of requirements.

You cannot. However, you do own it for the length of the contract that you purchase.

Yes your right. However, that is how it works. You purchase the domain and have low yearly costs associated to holding that domain.
