Thank you! 🤩 I really needed this information because I also have family in Mexico and I don't know what to get them for Christmas. This will make it a lot easier for me. That way they can choose their own gift. 👍
Thank you! I had to send a quick gift certificate to Mx and this was better info than I could get from Amazon. The only suggestion I'd make (if you do an update) is to show folks how to change the language on the other country site.
Thank you for your comment, and suggestion, actually I have a separate video showing how to change language here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nblChKS0Bys.htmlsi=9ZohTkyB4qYKl8Aq
One of the gifts that I like are these gift cards because I feel that you can give more things and like them, but I did not know very well how to do it for Amazon since I bought in physical stores
I tried this for Amazon France and it's not working because I keep getting my gift card cancelled by either my bank of Amazon FR because of fraud alerts
Hi! Unfortunately you cannot, you have to spend it in Europe, you need an amazon.in gift card to be able and redeem it in India. What you can do is sell it, exchange it or return it.
Wow i didnt know that you could do that, thank you for the information, its really useful for when you want to send somebody money and also really easy to do, thank you 👍🏻
Thanks for explaining, I have a question, depending on the country for which we want to buy the gift card, it is the Amazon that we must enter, because I saw that you put Mexico, and if it were for example for Trinidad and Tobago. Interesting this information friend, I had no idea that this could be done. I send you a hug
Hello Eve! Actually yes, so the person you are going to send this gift to needs to live in a country with Amazon service. In your case, yes it will have to be in Trinidad and Tobago if your friend is there. Hugs to you too! 🤗😘
Is there any way to know the amazon website of the other country if you don't know it? It is a very interesting option, to give to relatives who live abroad.
Hello! Yep so, Amazon has a platform for shoppers from the U.S., U.K., Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, and Spain. And for shoppers who don’t live in these countries, Amazon has global shipping to over 100 countries available on www.amazon.com/International-Shipping-Direct/.
7:04 is where I'm having the issue. I guess I need to search "how to get a credit card from another country" 9 mins of tutorial with an overly large blur, that isn't helpful😠
Hi! You don’t need a cc from the other country, there are some cc that you can use in different countries, so you can use one of those 🤷🏻♀️. And sorry about the blur but I cannot publish my cc or personal information 🧐
I’m trying to send an e gift card to someone in Canada, I’m from US, but they want a Apple Card instead of Amazon card. Is it possible to buy a Canadian Apple Card through the Canadian Amazon?
Hello! Honestly I would not know because I have not tried it, you will have to see if there is an Amazon for nigeria and see if your bank allows you to buy from Nigeria.
Hi Entrepreneur Mommie. I live in Canada and I want to send a gift card to Trinidad(Caribbean), do I do it the way you did? How will i know the currency they're getting and how do they get it? Online or by mail?
Hi itz4u, do you know where do they usually buy if they get something from Amazon, do you know from which website do they get it? I believe there are 2 options: 1 amazon international shopping portal, 2 amazon.com using a shipping forwarder. Once you know that it will be more easier to solve the currency question.. about how would they get it question, I think is better to send it online to avoid shipping cost and delays
Nice video 👍🏼 I was wondering can this same Tips be applied for Walmart Gift cards ? I'm living in mexico but if I get sent a gift card from USA can I use it down here ? THANKS ?! 😊
Thank you! That’s a very good question! I found this, let me know if it helps “For information about where or how to redeem an eGift Card, please check the information available on that card’s webpage here on the site by looking at the Card Details and Redemption Instructions sections on that page, or visit the card provider’s own website or app for further info, where they usually provide their customers with terms and conditions about their gift cards, as well as gift card FAQs, balance check tools and store locations (if applicable).”
Okayyyyy...What if I need to send to a country other than Mexico...? This is of no help. How about Israel? Argentina? Or any other country that doesn't have a country-specific website?
@@EntrepreneurMommie That’s just it: not every country has its own website. Israel and New Zealand both have Amazon operating in them but don’t have country websites.
@@EntrepreneurMommie Good lord. You tell me how to find that out. Amazon doesn't have a location anywhere on their global website with this information. I had to search google for it to find out what other people have done or what they've suggested. It isn't documented anywhere. Yeah, no kidding, go to the website for a given country and place your orders there.... How do you order for New Zealand? Turns out you can now order through the Australia website. That's not documented anywhere though, you only find that out by searching online. How about Israel? Oh, it turns out that shipments to Israel were halted for awhile--but now they've been restarted. Again, Amazon doesn't have this information anywhere, you just have to search for it. And where do you order online? Well for Israel you can use the main website. What about Argentina? Oh, turns out you order from the main website. My main point here wrt your video is that it's not especially helpful; the country-specific websites can be found by clicking on the flag in the upper right corner of the main page. Boom, done. More valuable would be an explanation of how to access Amazon for online orders (or even just gift cards) for any country. Amazon should have this, but they haven't bothered.
Thank you so much for your input on my video, I really appreciate it and I am actually planning on making more videos precisely on Amazon Locations and some of the other things you mentioned, however with this video just wanted to make clear that this IS POSSIBLE 🤷🏻♀️. And of course you gotta research all of this, thats of course how I make my videos, by researching and than sharing the information with all of you 🤗
I have a few questions. 1- In my country we don't use $, so if a person from US was to send me gift cards. Will he have to pay Amazon in $ or does the currency change at checkout??? 2- what about the exchange rates?? Is it fixed, does it change regularly?? 3- is there some kind of gas fee or something like that?? 4- does doing it violate any Amazon terms or anything? Thnks for the video. Edit: for example, if a person were to send 10$ gift card in indian currency. What exactly does he have to do???
Hello! 1- the sender chooses the amount in your local currency you are going to receive, so you will receive the exact local amount no matter the exchage rate. Amazon charges the credit card, and the sender’s bank does the convertion and applies the exchange rate. 2- they are not fixes, they change all the time, it depends on the bank of the credit card you are using to pay. 3- no gas fees 4- I don’t understand the question And about your edit, I think you can find the answer in this video 😊
@@EntrepreneurMommie oh hey, thnks a lot for answers. Since this is not vanilla user experience, I was concerned if it goes against any guidelines or anything... Since in the video it's all in $, I was confused. But after reading thru other comments, I think there's no issues with different currencies. Thnks a lot for answers and the video. I'll keep you updated if something else comes up.
Does not appear to work when purchasing from Amazon India, using credit cards from USA. Tried a Visa (Amazon-issued) and an AMEX. Thank you for the video all the same :)
I havent tried to buy from India specifically yet, but tried buying in Mx from Canada and relatives have done it from Mx to Canada and also buying from USA to Canada, will research more for other countries out of the country and update you in another video.
Hi, I have a question. Would the person receiving the gift card will not be able to see any personal bill information or request the information of the persons name from Amazon? So it will be safe to gift too strangers? @Entrepreneur Mommie
Yes it can be gifted to strangers, the billing information is and will be private, and the name cannot be requested, however you will be writing from: you can choose not to add the name you choose or you can choose to leave that space empty or even to type anonymous
I'll be trying to send a gift card to someone in India from Us... Really hoping it works I've been trying to ship a specific item to him for a long time 😢 Didn't think Maybe sending him a gift card and he can buy it would be better..

Hi thank you for this video.. My question is about the payment method.. I have to send gift card to India and I will be loging in Amazon.in but my card infor will still be of canada account right ? Because I don't have any Indian bank account. Please clarify the payment method 🙏
hello Sabina! Yes you can enter your payment as you usually do for Canada, in this case it depends of the bank, not much on amazon, so it depends if your bank accepts this transaction.
Your interesting video is SOMEWHAT informative and detailed... but NOT DETAILED ENOUGH in the end: You do not specify which country you have to put on the various Amazon forms shown on your example. I know my "Canadian" Amazon account CAN be used on Amazon USA to order physical products even though the billing AND shipping addresses are in Canada. I really doubt you can do the same with a gift card (or a virtual product like a downloadable book/cd/dvd). It probably means you need a mode of payment in the country of the actual gift (Mexico in your case... a fact you do NOT specify in your video, rendering the video most probably WORTHLESS for most people. Thanks for loosing my time señorita!
Hi Alainr345! First of all thank you for SPENDING your time with me 😊. The case that you mentioned is buying physical products (importing) from Amazon.com to Canada however this is a different case, you CAN buy an Amazon gift card for a different country by entering to the Amazon of the country you want to buy the gift card from, like you mentioned what depends more or could be at times tricky is the mode of payment, however it depends of your bank, or you might buy a visa card on that country and buy a gift card that way or maybe if you perhaps have a bank account of that foreign country you might be able to buy this gift card. I have done this using both a Canadian and a Mexican card and has worked however like I said it depends on the bank.
Thank you very much! Amazingly helpful! Just one question, I understand this way I can "send money" by way of amazon credit without comissions, but what about the currency exchange rate that amazon applies? Do you have any idea how much it is?
Hello Jorge! This is a very good question and this is what I found: "The exchange rate displayed at checkout may not match the figures published online or in other financial databases. Those exchange rates are generally inter-bank rates that are for wholesale amounts and aren't available to retail customers. Amazon consistently works to negotiate competitive foreign exchange rates with our bank service provider. These rates are updated daily"
does it charge you the amount it's worth in your currency or theirs? like example dollars to pounds; since $5 in pounds is £4.15 if i were to buy an american gift card would it charge me £4.15 considering thats how much it is worth in pound currency
Hi Valerie, whenever you buy something in amazon will be displayed on the currency of the site you bought, so if you bought in amazon.uk then you will see their currency however in your cc the charge will be in your currency with the currency exchange that your bank is taking that day
I’m going to show this video to my husband, he can’t understand that Latinos like to have the money to buy whatever we want lol, your amazing explanation is going to help us to do this fast and easy so we can give them the gifts they want. I didn’t know it was with the same account but different country
Lol. You were trying to blur the message in message box, but it was showing up on the left side of the screen XD Anyway rest of the video was helpful. Just something to keep in mind for future videos. Another point of feedback - please try to keep the video as short as possible.
hello! yep, I try to do my best, thank you for your feedback and will keep them short, also I am trying to do some shorts with this content as well so stay tune. Thanks again for your honesty and feedback 🙏
Thank you so much, you're a lifesaver!❤ I' ve been trying to figure how to buy a gift card for a relative's birthday but they live in a different country, this was really useful!
Not necessarily, there are some cards that work for every or most countries. Like for example American Express, however in my own experience I used a Canadian visa and it worked in Amazon Mexico 🇲🇽
Thanks for the information. I understand that you have to blur out the private information, but too much of the video is not visible, and not very helpful. Is there another, clearer way for you to do this?
My friend sent amazon gift card.It was 100 dollars.I am from India. I can't use it because it's in dollars. I want to convert those dollars to Indian rupees. What should I do ?
I don’t understand how much she paid ? Did she pay $1000 ?? Cause she said it was pesos but it showed dollars..... so did she paid 1000 or less.... cause I want to send 100$ so I don’t want to click on 100$ and only give her 33$..... do I need to click on 300$ in order to send 100$? I’m confused
Hello Henrich, the currency is according the amazon you logged in, so in this particular case I was on amazon.com.mx and choose 1000 mxn mexican pesos. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Hello Allen curtis, I am sorry to read this. You mean your bank account is locked because you tried to buy in Amazon from another country? If your answer is yes, I will suggest to call your bank before you make the transaction to authorize the transaction, some bank accounts do this
Hola!
One thing you failed to mention is, lets say im sending 500 pesos but how is it gonna be charged to my account if i don't have pesos? I live in the USA will it charge me 500 dollars or is the money going to convert itself? So 500 pesos is like 30 dollars, once i purchased the 500 pesos am i only gonna be charge the 30 dollars? That's what im confused about
I’m always buy in Amazon but only for my self, but this is a good idea por our families are in Mexico , but is the same thing for other’s countries? I never in my life bought gift cards but it’s a super good idea ,♥️
For sure I want to learn how to do it properly so I don’t make mistakes, I love it not only for birthday also for Christmas 🎄 time that is approaching soon. Thanks for all I really like it easy and effective.
