How to Buy Cardano (ADA) on Coinbase and Store in a Ledger Nano Hardware Wallet 2021 

After so many tutorials are obviously in it for the money, it's so refreshing to listen to a tutor who wants to actually help his/her students learn. I appreciate you dad and keep up the good work!

I knew you'd have a video on this very thing. I've wasted so much time with other crypto "teachers". They know the subject matter too well and take for granted the "How the hell did you just get from Point C to Point F?". I had an awesome Calc II teacher (35 years ago) that I'll never forget. She understood that. You know how to put yourself your audience's shoes. You take nothing for granted and you do it without getting long winded. That's not easy. Keep up the great work Dad!

Awesome video! Have to ask though - @ 8:45, you mentioned "Every time you uninstall and reinstall the cardano app, it will recreate the wallet" - means, if say you have x number of ada and you uninstall the wallet, after reinstalling it, the x number of ada is still there right? so same wallet address associated with the original private key for ada before uninstalling is linked back?

Thanks for the help. Could you help me with this issue please. I sent Fantom (FTM) from Binance to Ethereum Fantom on Ledger Nano X by mistake. Is there any way to recover that please as I can't see the coins on my ledger

Hi love the information within this video! I have a question - I used Ledger Live receiving address for ADA from my Coinbase (not realizing that ledger does not accept receipts of ADA!) I have now downloaded Daedalus and have synced my Ledger X. Should i transaction now show in Daedalus?

One more question ....Should I still move my Cardano to my Ledger if it's already on my Daedalus wallet, or is it safe enough where it is??

you only need the external wallet to get to the ledger, right/ don't need external to send from ledger?

Wow great tutorial,couldnt figure out why ledger has a cardano app and no way to actully recieve it as it's not supported, this video should help everyone. please be patient when connecting to the blockchain mine took a few hours because I had previous cardano transactions of larger amounts but once synced your good to go.

Is the amount of ada you have in your ledger live portfolio displayed or is it only visible on the ada wallet?

You are the man. Such a good video. I’m looking into purchasing at ledger nano x but have several questions. Currently using Coinbase wallet. I pretty much do everything on my phone but I do have a lap top that I can use to set it all up. Is there a app that I could use on my iPhone and what limitations are there with the app ? Do you have to keep the device plugged in all of the time and have the lap top on? I wouldn’t think so 🤷🏻‍♂️ . Any downsides to this device/set up? let me know crypto dad :) thanks

I compare Crypto to any asset. Example: A Corvette. It doesnt matter what garage you keep it in. It's worth the same. Move it to a new garage. Its value is always worth 1 Corvette. The dollar value will fluctuate, but you still own 1 Corvette, until you trade it for US$ or other assets.

Hi Crypto Dad, is it possible to use Nami wallet and Yorio wallet, both with ADA and both setup through the Ledger Nano X? I have already connected Nami and staked ADA, but I have Yoroi wallet synced with Daedalus and I would like to connect it to the same ledger. Would I need separate cardank access in ledger live?

Question, how long should it take to sync the wallet with the blockchain? It's taken me over 2 hours. Does that sound normal?

What if I already have a Cardano wallet with ADA and NFTs in it and then I want to buy a Ledger? Should I move all my funds and NFTs to the new Ledger wallet and then ditch my previous wallet seed phrase?

Now that ledger Nano have live compatibility for Cardano, what would occur if you setup an account with your Nano X with private key on live, and also made an account on Daedalus with your Nano X hardware wallet? Would both these be sharing the same private key and cause any Issues ? Also could you do a tutorial, or explain on how to restore the Daedalus Nano X account if it come to needing to do that? So Daedalus and Ledger Live basically do the same thing except Daedalus supports a Cardano Account?

Loved the vid ! FYI:: It took my Daedalus wallet 17 hours for initial sync up...poor laptop memory pegged all 16Gig .. 20/20 hindsight maybe had I turned off Oracle (6gig) that would of helped ;)
