Thank you for this video. I am going to Kyoto and prefer to transfer at Shinagawa station but in the video you said for Ticket Type selection the option "NEX -> Shinkansen" was for transfer at Tokyo Station. Can I choose to transfer at Shinagawa station instead?

Hi! When you receive the tickets from the machine do you get two tickets, one for limited express and one for basic fare? And if so, do you insert both tickets together into the turnstile? Or do you only have to insert one ticket?

Hi, Thanks for your comnent, but unfortunately I don't know if machine give us 2 tickets or combined single ticket😓 But if you get 2, I think its OK, just only insert basic fare ticket when you go through a gate. But at the same time I think its also OK insert both of your ticket when you go through. Anyway, it is difficult even for Japanese, so don't hesitate to make any mistake when you use train. Please ask for a help to nearby station staffs✨✨😃

Hello ! When you can press the button to change for shinkansen do you also reserve the shinkansen ticket or it will be afterwards?

Hi thanks for watching!! I've never tried so I don't know exactly what will happen, but I think you can also book Ticket and seat for Shinkansen when you press the button. So if you do this, I think you don't need to buy Shinkansen ticket after arriving Tokyo station. But I think it can be bit difficult even for Japanese. Tokyo station is huge, and Japanese people also get lost inside station. So It is possible you miss the Shinkansen train you booked at Narita. So for me, it seems buying Shinkansen ticket after arriving Tokyo station is easier and secured if you are traveling Japan for the first time.

Hi, when you get on express trains (Special fast trains) in Japan, you need Express ticket in addition to Basic fare ticket. It is like additional fare you need to pay when you get on very fast trains😂😂

Hi, Thanks for watching. Yes, you can purchase one way ticket 1 week before your travel time. You can purchase it with any Ticket vending machines in JR stations around Tokyo!! You can also buy it at any Maned ticket counter too!!

Hi, Thanks for watching!! You can take N'EX from Shinjuku station heading directly to Narita Airport. You can buy Round trip ticket at narita airport. If you are arriving to Narita airport and need round trip ticket, I recommend you to buy discount round trip ticket available at ticket counter in Narita airport station. Hi, I have a question. If we purchase a return NEX ticket, do we get both tickets together (onward and return) and is reservation confirmed for both at the airport machine? Or do we have to collect/reserve the return ticket again from a machine or JR office?

Hi, Thank you for watching and sorry for my late reply💦💦 I looked at the Internet, and We can make seat reservation 1 month before the day we take trains. So, I think you can make seat reservation for both onward and return, if your return train departs within 1 month since the day you make reservation with ticket machine. Please be noted this is just my personal guess... I hope you have wonderful time here in Japan!!👍👍

Hi, Iggy, You need to buy both "Basic fare ticket" and "Express ticket (super limited ticket)" to get on Narita Express. Narita Express is Direct train to Shibuya.

I can't give you 100% guarantee but their website says they accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, Discover and JCB!! I hope it helps you😄✨

Does NEX not stop at Ikebukuro? I couldn't see it on the machine when you selected the station.

Only direct transport from Narita to Ikebukuro is Limosine bus or Low cost bus👍
