You are a life saver....not to mention a money and time saver. I kept getting the DC code and couldn't figure it out. The lid wouldn't latch. Obviously, broken. Still I stuck a tiny magnet in there, per your instructions and...voila!!! Back in business! I guess I will just have to leave the small magnet in there indefinitely. Kinda stinks because the washer only 2 years old and is at our lake condo so it is used only a few months out of the year. My last Samsung washer and dryer for sure.
this worked on my washer but i had to push part of the latch in, in order for the machine to sense that the lid was closed because when i tried bypassing it with a magnet the first time it didnt work
this isnt the video i was searching for but it did help me i thought there was something wrong with my washer cause there was no water coming out when i hit start but i relized it took your washer a min to start before the washer started filling up so i went back hit start waited a min and boom it works lol thanks for the video
I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT! After several months, I reached a conclusion that the washer should be powered on, unplug the son of a bitch, wait about 5-10 minutes, plug it back in and wait for several minutes and BAM!! It’ll unlock on you. Just gotta be patient!! I kept plugging/unplugging, pushing/holding every button possible but I did not try waiting a few minutes. It will stay locked after you power it back up, but wait 5-10 minutes. I can’t clarify that enough. Hope this helps!
God Bless you out here doing the real saving! I'm doing this in 42 minutes when the ##%#-#%%$$ pos finishes it's cycle that has zero items in the washer but won't let me cancel it!
This was helpful. When I had a Samsung WA48H7400AW I never did that before because I don’t know but on a front load I never do otherwise clothes can spill.
I have a top load large drum and the door is locked and it stopped mid cycle with deep water and I can't open the lid. Called technician because it's under Manufacturer's warranty. I tried to reboot it by unplugging and re-plugging it and there were no lights at all on the dash. Machine wouldn't come on and I bought it 4 months ago. Technician coming this week to fix it.
I have an older Samsung top loader, I can’t figure out how to bypass it. It wouldn’t be such a big deal if the lid on mine wasn’t so heavily tinted. I’m glad the newer ones aren’t tinted as heavily.
I think the older ones you have to place a magnet on top of the stopper and also block the tab from protruding more than half way. 2 steps. There's a video on that.
I'm 10 months late however I thought it was my sensor as well. I placed the magnet on the actual door and voila! ... it worked. It was as if the magnet behaved as a sensor.
Bummer. My Samsung is only 6 yrs old and the magnet kept the lid open while the lock engaged but washer didn't want to fill for a wash. It kept trying to empty the tub when there was nothing to empty
@@jackfntwistany way you can find what video in your watch history? Mine shows the same model number as in this video, but has /US at the end... and the magnet trick isn't working for mine!
