Welcome to GeoViz Plus. Our today's video is about how to calculate vegetation indices using Q GIS. To selected indices, namely Renormalized Difference Vegetation Index (RDVI) and Transformed Normalized Difference Vegetation Index. (TNDVI).
RDVI calculates the deviation between NIR infrared, and Red wavelengths, alongside NDVI, and highlights the health of vegetation. It doesn’t consider the effects of soil, and sun angles in the calculation. TNDVI is proposed by Tunker, 1979. This index is robust for biomass and vegetation cover estimation.
