the above video describing the simplest way of calculating steel reinforcement in slab, beam and column. the details of bars must take according to the specific structural design. the calculation in the video is only for demonstration purpose. for optimum structural design you should engage a structural engineer for your building project. it will be more economical if the design is optimum. we can avoid the problems of over reinforced structures also..

Hi, I have a query, is the thumb rule of 1% correct or not? I have read that, steel is 1% volume of slab. So for a slab of volume = 10 cum. Steel = 1% of 10 cum. = 0.1 cum = 0.1 x 7850 kg/cum = 785 kg = 0.78 MT. As per the above mentioned thumb rule the quantity only come around 115kg for a slab of 10cm thickness and sir had mentioned a quantity of 159 kg, will there be such a huge difference?

Calculate കാണിക്കുന്നില്ല.നിങ്ങൾക്ക് കിട്ടിയ weight നെ total rcc slab weight കൊണ്ട് ഹരിച്ചാൽ percentage കിട്ടില്ലേ.അത് പറഞ്ഞു കാണുന്നില്ല, heading ൽ പറയുന്നത് vedio കാണുന്നില്ല
