@@TJANDMAC it’ll be a learning curve at the start for the do’s and don’ts coming from vic we arnt allowed to drive on the beach 🙄 we have a loaded Colorado so we should be ok 👌
That's wicked. I'm heading to moreton in 2 weeks for the first time so this is super helpful for me. I've got a few mates coming with that have been there but good to know for myself
Weather looks much nicer than my last visit over there lol thankfully I was part of a very large group so we had the permanent tents booked out at Bulwer, so no packing up wet tents. Got me keen to go back though... Ferry prices are absolute robbery though.
Nice helpful summary, but wow Morten has changed. When were vehicle and camping permits introduced? There used to be wild brumbies, wild goats, wild pigs, snakes, lizards and fruit bats feeding at night.
I can remember when the dolphins used to come in all along the northern part of the Western beach. Mainly when fishermen cleaned their catch and threw the frames into the water. That somehow turned into the resort controlling the feeding and turning a profit from it. Not exactly ethical. Moreton is an awesome place to visit though.
Thanks TJ. We have never been, but heading over in October. Can you please advise where the easiest spot and best spot is for a caravan? Struggling to find any sort of info on this!
Hi guys! Thanks for the video, just wondering if the island is suitable for a Great Wall x240, as it’s my first 4wd and I’d like to hone my skills in Moreton. Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. 😂
Moreton Island has some public toilets around the place. If you need numbers 1s, go in the surf! Number 2s, take a chemical toilet with you or go for a drive and use the public toilets.
