Dear Canon, I live in SAfrica where there is a huge emerging group of creators. The vast majority of us are asking for a cine camera with 422 10 bit, at an affordable price. Affordability in Africa is hard to explain for obvious reasons, but for starters the exchange rate crushes many of our aspirations as content creators / aspiring film makers. Your C200 is the answer, please please give us 10 bit 422. If you can find it in your hearts to look beyond the European and USA markets you will see the need as well as the opportunity to empower a new market with your product. It is an awesome way to for you to entrench brand loyalty to many many potential future clients for life. Its hard to convey the sincerity of my request in words, but I hope you can see that this is a shout out for your support. I took a leap of faith, bent my budget beyond my means and purchased the C200 with the trust that internal UHD 422 10 bit will come to us in this camera. Down the line I see many more of us staying with you as we have done for years now, you have an exceptionally loyal group of creators here in Africa. Please make us your loyal grateful customers for life. Regards from Cape Town
Hi Jem, thanks for your clear explanation. A youtube video is so much better than reading a manual! Today we're going to shoot our first weddingmovie on the C200 (also the first time). The audio setup was a bit of a hassle withou ta manual but your video did the trick.
Christoph Feiel Don’t know why it is so important but when you beed to, so maybe this can help... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ONEGZ0HrahM.html
Hi Armando. Our team of Cinema EOS experts are happy to go over your setup with you to determine what is causing the option to be grayed out. Please reach out to them directly at Canon.us/ContactYT We look forward to hearing from you.
I had this same issue. For me the fix was to change the audio format to LPCM 16 Bit 4CH. From the Recording/Media Set-up menu go to #2 and you can set this under Audio Format.
Couple quick questions. What is ALC link? I have the option set to separated I hope that is correct. Also is there a way when I import my audio to have Ch1 on audio track 1 and CH2 on audio track 2? I am using premiere.
Hi there. Our team of experts will be happy to go over your questions with you one-on-one, as well as answer any additional questions that come up along the way. Please reach out to them from Canon.us/ContactYT We look forward to hearing from you!
Question: Is the limiter analog or digital? Also when recording safety tracks of channels 1&2 to channels 3&4. When controlling the level of 3&4, is that signal sent before or after the preamps of channel 1&2? Thus does the C200 have 4 microphone premps or 2? Thank you.
Hi there. While information about the limiter isn't an available specification we can provide, pre-amps for channels 1, 2, 3 and 4 are separate from each other, so there are indeed 4 pre-amps. We hope this helps.
Hello, this is good news. So for safety tracks, preamps 3&4 get the signal before it goes through preamps 1&2? Thus not picking up possible sound overload from 1&2? Thank you.
Hi CanonUSA, love this camera but one issue so far - multiple XLR connectors are getting stuck in the XLR inputs. Please make a list of compatible XLR cable connectors at the very least. So far, I personally know of the following XLR cable connectors getting stuck in the inputs: Sennheiser (silver), Rode (black), and even Neutrik (silver only, black traditional one *seems to be good*). This is a big issue as I currently have to use a terrible daisy chained system of XLR cables to use my Sennheiser lav kit. Again, love the camera otherwise. Please help!
Hi Caleb. There are a number of possible input configurations involving the XLR and MIC terminals. Our team of experts is happy to go over them with you. Please give them a call at 1-855-CINE-EOS (1-855-246-3367). We look forward to hearing from you.
I am getting a low-frequency noise hiss on my Rode NTG4+. Can anyone tell me if I should put it on Analog or AES/EBU? what are the settings that I need to consider for the NTG4+?
Hi there. Make sure [MENU > Audio Setup > CH2 Input] is set to [INPUT 2]. If you still cannot select [CH3/CH4 Input], our support team is happy to go over it with you one-on-one. They can be reached at Canon.us/ContactYT We hope this helps.
